The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session on November 4, 1971
at 8:15 P.M. with Supervisor Charles Howell presiding, to conduct' a
Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget for the year 1972, Public
Hearing on Special Districts and any other business that may come
before said Board. Said meeting set as per meeting of October 12, 1971.

Visitors: Water Supt. James Howell and five Lansing Residents.
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 8 :15 P.M. having
the clerk take the roll calls
Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Supervisor advised
the Board that the Public Hearing was now open on the preliminary
budget as called by the Town Board and so advertised in the Ithaca
Journal and posted according to Town Law 108.
The Supervisor presented each person present, a copy of the
General and Highway Fund Preliminary Budget and a copy of the
Maintenance & Operating Budgets for Water District #1 and Water
District #2. Each item of the budgets was gone over and discussed
in detail.
William Gettig suggested that the Board investigate the
possibility of setting up a Capitol Machinery Fund for the purchase
of new machinery when compiling the 1973'budgeto
All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, and no
objections made to the said preliminary budgets, the Hearing was
terminated.

.Proof of Notice having been furnished by the Town Clerk, the
Public Hearing on the Special Districts; Lansing Water #1, Lansing
Water #29 Lansing Sewer #1, Lansing Sewer #2 and Catherwood Light
District was called to order by Supervisor Charles Howell. The
assessment rolls for the year 1972 were offered for inspection and
discussion.
All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, and no
objections made to said rolls, the Hearing on S pecial Districts was
terminated.
The Town Board discussed the Hearing's just held and the following
resolutions were then offered:
RESOLUTION ADOPTING GENERAL FUND BUDGET offered by Mr. Hilliard:
WHEREAS, this Town Board has met at the time and place specified
in the notice of public hearing on the General Fund Preliminary Budget
® and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby adopt such General Fund
Preliminary Budget as originally compiled, as the annual budget of this
Town for the fiscal year beginning on the lst day of January 19 72, and
that such budget as so adopted be entered in detail in the minutes of
the proceedings of this Town Board, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk of this Town shall prepare
and certify in duplicate, copies of said annual budget as adopted by
this Town Board,'together with the estimates, if any, adopted pursuant
to Section 202 -a, subd. 2, of the Town Law and deliver one copy thereof
to the Supervisor of this Town to be presented by him to the Board of
Representatives of this County.

WHEREAS, this Town Board has met at the time and place specified
in the notice of public hearing on the Highway Fund Preliminary Budget
and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby adopt such Highway Fund
Preliminary Budget as originally compiled, as the annual budget of this
Town for the fiscal year beginning on the lst day of January 1972, and

RESOLUTION OF INTENT
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne:
With a view to exploring the possibilities of primary and long -
range water supplies at Bolton Point for the Towns of Dryden, Ithaca,
Lansing, and for the Village of Cayuga Heights, the elected Boards of
these municipalities agree to share in establishing a fund to finance
preliminary studies and to approach Lozier Company, as engineer, for
these studies and to serve as consultant on the means of approaching
State and Federal agencies for authorization to construct a possible
alternate water supply and to acquire the appropriate State and
Federal funds.

trailer park to be located on Algerine Road in the Town of Lansing
in accordance with the trailer park ordinance of said Town, now
therefore be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Lansing will hold
a public hearing on said proposed trailer park on the 23rd day of
November, 1971 in the Town Hall of the Town of Lansing at 8:00
o'clock in the evening thereof.

The Town Board reviewed the bids received on October 22, 1971
for the replacement of the roof on the Town Hall. Following
resolution then offered:
WHEREAS, the Clerk has duly advertised for bids for the
replacement of the roof on the Town Hall, and
WHEREAS, Seacord -Lane Builders, Inc., 715 Willow Ave., Ithaca
is the lowest responsible bidder, meeting all specifications with
a bid of $3,114.80, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, on motion of Mr. Naegely, seconded by Mr. LaVigne,
that the bid of Seacord -Lane Builders, Inc., be and the same is
hereby approved and accepted.

New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1,
1972, has been completed and filed in the office of
the Town Clerk of said 'I'own at South Lansing it
said Town, where it is available for inspection of
any interested person at all reasonable hours.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
SPECIAL DISTRICTS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board
of the Town of Lansing has prepared the
Assessment Rolls of parcels of land included in
Lansing Water District No. d, Lansing Water
District No. 2, Lansing Sewer District• No. 1,
Lansing Sewer District No. 2 and Catherwood
Light District, and has apportioned and assessed
upon such parcels of land in proportion to the
amount of benefits the improvements shall
confer upon the same, the cost chargeable to said
districts in connection with the construction 'of
the public water and sewer systems therein
which are payable in the year 1972 and therefore,
pursuant to Section 239 of the Town Law; the said
Town Board shall hold a public hearing thereon to
hear and consider any objections which may be
made to said Rolls on the 4th day of-November
1971 at the Town Hall, South Lansing at 9:00 p.m.
o'clock in the evening thereof.
