The Lansing Town Board held a Special Meeting on March 5, 1971
at 8:00 P.M. as called by the Supervisor for the purpose of setting a
date for a Public Hearing to consider the matter of an increase of the
maximum amount proposed to be expended for Lansing Sewer Dist. #2,
said increase of such maximum amount from $225,000.00 to $3009000.009
and any other business that may come before said Board.

The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 8 P.M. having the
clerk take the roll call.
Discussion held by the board on the resolution adopted on
February 19, 1971 which created the Position of an Assistant Water
Supt. in the Town of Lansing. Following resolution then offered.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne.
RESOLVED, that the Resolution creating the Position of an Assistant
Water Supto in the Town of Lansing which was adopted February 19, 19719
be and the same is hereby recinded.
Seconded by Mr. Naegely.
Unanimously carried.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne:
RESOLVED, that the Position of Assistant Water Supt, be created
in the Town of Lansing and that the annual salary for said position be
fixed at $6,500.00 and the Town be authorized to hire a person for
this position commencing March 1, 1971, said monies being available
in the budgets of Water Dist. #1 and Water Dist. ##2, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the person to be hired furnish and maintain his
own truck, the Town to recompense said Assistant Water Supt. an
annual amount of $500.00, said amount to be paid on a monthly basis,
for use of said vehicle, and be it further
RESOLVED, that`'said Assistant Water Supt. shall furnish a
certificate of liability insurance to the Town Clerk on said vehicle,
naming the Town as an additional insured on the policy, said insur-
ance to be in the amount of $100 /300 /500

OF-FACILITIES - LANSING SEWER DISTRICT NO. 2
IN
WHEREAS, plans.,, maps, specifications and the estimated
cost, have been submitted .to the Town Board of the Town of
Lansing, for the acquisition and construction on behalf of
Lansing Sewer -District, No. 2, of additional. facilities therefor
and appurtenances thereto, consisting of additional sewer mains
and appurtenances, and including the acquisition of additional
.interests in :lands through easements over which a portion of
said sewer main6U to be constructed, and acquired, the general
description. of the ,proposed improvements being briefly described
as ' follows
I. Acquisition of Sewer Mains Constructed.
a`. •Sewer main at Cornell University Research Park
- presently owned and previously constructed by the County of
Tompkins and 'the University of Cornell approximately 7,000
fee t '.
b. The sewer . main and the pumping station and
appurtenances and 'facilities constructed by .First Industrial
Park.Development. Corporation'- approximately 3,100 feet parallel
to Warren Road.
c. � Sewer:; constructed by •Lansing Terrace Apartments, In 1.
consisting of approximately 670 feet.

Discussion held by the board in regard to the proposed change
and modification in the plan for Sewer District #2 and setting a
date for a Public Hearing on same in order to complete Sewer Dist. #2.
Following resolution then offered:
ORDER FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED CHANGES IN PLAN FOR SEWER DIST. #2.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely:
RESOLVED, that it is proposed that a change in modification be
made in the location of the sewer lines on the Howard Johnson "s
premises from the original plan as adopted for Lansing Sewer Dist. #2,
now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that a Public Hearing be held on a change in the
original plan for said Sewer District as shown on "Petition Plan -
Lansing Sewer District No. 2" made by O'Brien and Gere, Engineers,
dated. June 26_, 1965, amended March 1, 1971 by Thomas G. Miller,
Engineer of Ithaca, New York; said change in the location of the
sewer lines from the east and south of the Ithaca Associates buildings
® (Howard Johnson) to a location to the north and west of said buildings,
and to provide for the installation of a pumping station, and be it
further
RESOLVED, that said Public Hearing be held by the Town of Lansing
at the South Lansing Town Hall at South Lansing, New York on the
19th day of March, 1971 at 8:15 P.M. in the evening thereof.

facilities for Lansing Sewer District No. 2. Discussion terminating,

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne:
RESOLVED, that a meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing
will be on the 19th day of March, 1971 at 8:45 o'clock p.m. in
the evening thereof, in the Town Hall of said Town to consider any and
all persons interested, in the subject thereof concerning the same and
for such action on the part of the Town Board with relation to said
project as may be required by law or proper in the premises. Said
Order attached hereto and made a part thereof.
