The Lansing Town Board met in Regular Session at the South Lansing
Town Hall on February 12, 1971 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Howell presiding.

The Supervisor called the meeting to order having the clerk take
the roll call. 40
A copy of the minutes of the December 11th, December 22nd,
December 26th, January 8th, January 15th and January 22nd meetings
having been furnished to the members of the town board beforehand, the
supervisor asked for a motion to propose corrections of errors or to
accept same as submitted.
MOTION by Mr. Hilliard and seconded by Mr. LaVigne that the
minutes as submitted by the Town Clerk be approved.
Carried.
Letter read from Ben Bradley, Regional Wildlife Manager of N.Y.S.
Dept. of Environmental Conservation stating he would attend regular
Town Board meeting of March 12th to discuss deer situation.
Letter read from Margaret S. Merrell requesting the Town Board
to do something immediately to alleviate the traffic condition at
the intersection of N. Triphammer Rd. & Route 13. Board agreed to
write to the N.Y.S. Dept. of Transportation regarding the hazardous
condition at this intersection and urge all possible action be taken
to correct this situation.
Request from Harry B. Boyer for consideration and approval of the
Town Board to add one more mobile home on his property located at
30 Atwater Road. Board to consider said request and to inform Mr.
Boyer of their decision.
Engineer T.G. Miller discussed in detail the estimated project
cost for further development of Lansing Sewer District #2. Formulas
discussed on benefit of same. Question and answer period followed.
RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Naegely:
RESOLVED, on recommendation of the Town Engineer, the Supervisor,
Engineer and Town Attorney prepare the necessary documents to obtain
the.State Comptroller's approval of the increase in the maximum amount
to be expended in Lansing Sewer District #2 from $225,000.00 to
$480,000.00.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. LaVigne:
RESOLVED that the supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to
execute approval of plans for sanitary sewer collection system as
revised for Lansing Sewer #2 for the application to the Dept. of
Environmental Conservation for the approval of said plans.

RESOLVED that the Town Engineer is authorized to conduct test
borings in said district and Town Engineer and Town Attorney to secure
rights -of -way in advance of final approval of Sewer District #2 as
modified to the $480,000.00 estimated maximum cost.

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to purchase
® Certificates•of Deposits with town monies at his discretion.

Engineer T.G. Miller and Water Supt. Janes Howell discussed the
insufficient flow of water from the Esty Point well. Situation
improving and hope to have 500 gal. a minute in order to do more
flushing and keep cleaner.
Supervisor Howell presented his monthly report and explained
same in detail.
AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED that General Fund bills #18 through #49 totalling $131,975.95
and Highwa Fund bills #15 through #44 (except highway bills #39,40,41,
42, and 43 totalling $2209198.92 be and the same are hereby approved
for payment, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Water District #1 bills and Water District #2
bills be and the same are hereby approved for payment.
