Supervisor Howell presented his monthly report and explained same in detail
AUDIT RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Bush:
RESOLVED that General Fund bills #55 through #80 totalling $11,129.98
Highway Fund bills #61 through 491 totalling $40,129.' 9 be and the same are
hereby approved for payment.

The Lansing Town Board met in an adjourned meeting at 8 P.M. as called by the
Supervisor at the adjournment of the Regular,Meeting held March 13, 1970, with
Supervisor Howell presiding.

for a 1970 Peddler's License and a verbal request, pending application, from
Tiffany Studio's. Following discussion of applications, the following resolution
was offered:

RESOLVED, that Peddler's Licenses to Modelle71s (H.K.) Ltd. and Tiffany
Studio's be approved for the year 1970, pending favorable reports on same from
the Ithaca Chairber of Commerce.

The Board discussed amending Ordinance #4 after which time the following
resolution was offered:

RESOLVED, that the Lansing Town Board hold. a Public Hearing on April 10, 1970
at 8 :15 P.M. for the purpose of amending Ordinance #4, REGULATING AND LICENSING THE
HAWKING AND PEDDLING OF GOODS, ~%TARES AND M_R. CHA.NDISE AND SOLICITING ORDERS THEREFOR
IN THE TOWN OF LANSING, to authorize the Town Clerk to grant or deny the issuance
of said licenses.

board that he had been advised of sewer
problems
at.
the South Lansing
School for Girls. Made report on Lansing Town Dump,

Clerk read resolution adopted by the Village of Cayuga Heights authorizing
negotiation of a contract to connect the proposed Holiday Inn to the Lansing Sewer
Dist. #2, said Village agreeing to accept sewage of same. After discussion by the
Board, the following resolution was offered:

RESOLUTION APPROVING SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIC%T BETWEEN 219 EAST STATE STREET
HOTEL PROPERTY, INC. AND LANSING SEWER DISTRICT #2.

PTREAS, the Cayuga. Heights Village Board. by Resolution ,#1626, adopted 3/17/70
has authorized negotiation of a contract between the Tom of Lansing on 'behalf of
Sewer District #2 and the Village of Cayuga Heights for transporting sewage from
the proposed Holiday Inn to the Village Plant for disposal_, now therefore be it
RESOLVED by Mr. LaVigne, seconded by Mr. Naegely that 219 East State Street
Motel Property, Inc. (Holiday Inn) is authorized to connect to the sewer system of
.Lansing Sewer Dist. #2 when available subject to the execution of a contract between
219 East State Street Hotel Property, Inc. and the Town of Lansing on behalf of
Lansing Sewer Dist. #2 and the execution of a. contract between the Village of Cayuga
Heights and Town of Lansing on behalf of Lansing Sewer Dist. #2.

board that he had been advised of sewer

Councilman Lee Naegely reported on the meeting held on March loth at the Court
House in regard to a study outlining a thirty year program for the development of
sewer treatment facilities and trunk lines which would become Tompkins County
Sanitary District #1.
Councilman Edward. LaVigne reported on Resident Committee Meeting held on March
19th regarding proposed addition to- Lansing Water Dist. #2.
Councilman Louis Bush, Highway Committee Chairman, made report on Highway Dept.
Discussion held relative to contract between Town of Lansing and Lanskeng Highway
Association. Supervisor to schedule an Executive Session with Highway Superintendent
.and Town Board.
Discussion held regarding the operation of the food-concession at the Lansing
Town Park for the 1970 summer season. Following discussion, Clerk instructed to
advertise for bids on same.
Atty. Williamson stated that copies of a. proposed Town of Lansing Sign Board
Ordinance would 'be forwarded to the clerk for distribution to Board Members for 40
their examination before town board discussion on same. Al
Supervisor Howell stated that in the near future he would schedule a meeting
with Planning Board Chairman, Peter Craig and have him meet with the town board
to go over the technical basis for subdivision..rules and regulations that the
planning board prepared and submitted in May 1968 for the town board's consideration.
