The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session on May 1, 1969 at 8 P.M. at the
South Lansing Town Hall. Said meeting was called by the_Superyisor, all board
members being duly notified of same. I _ . . . _

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Dates at 8 P.M.

Plans for the "Open House" at the new Lansing Highway Garage to be held on
May 11th from 2 to 5 P.M. were discussed. Clerk was requested to invite the
contractors to attend the occasion, also post notice in the Town Hall.
The applications for Peddler's Licenses of E, Miller, Proprietor of Dave's
Snack Shack, 315 E. Franklin St., Horseheads, N.Y. and Rolland Gagnier, King
Ferry, N.Y. were discussed by the board members. After thorough discussion_ of
said applications the following resolutions were offered:
RESOLUTION offered by Councilman Howell:
1,kHERE4S, F. Miller, Proprietor of Dave's Snack Shack, 315 E. Franklin St.,
Horseheads, New York, has made application for a Peddler's License in the Town
of Lansing, and
WKEREAS, said applicant submitted no evidence of authority to park on private
property, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Lansing does not want parking and selling of food in
the highway right -of -way, and
WHEREAS, parking in the road right -of -way causes congestion of other parked
cars, dangerous hazardous parking conditions for pedestrians; and congestion by
parked vehicles causes hazardous conditions for emergency vehicles, now there-
fore be it
RESOLVED, that said application for a Peddler's License of E. Miller,
Proprietor of Dave's. Snack Shack be denied.

RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Ferris:
19HEREAS', Rolland Gagnier, King Ferry, I.Y. has made application for a
Peddler's License in the Town of Lansing, and.
WHEREAS, the lunch wagon is located on private property, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Rolland Gagnier be issued. a Peddler's License from
may 1., 1969 to December 31, 1969 providing said lunch wagon locates on private
property.

Certified copy of a resolution received and read from the Department of
Public Works, City of Ithaca, establishing a, policy for supplying water to the
Town of Lansing on an emergency basis.
