RESOLUTION offered by Mr. Howells
AUTHORIZING TOWN OF LANSING HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT
TO EXECUTE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING�BETWEEN WATER
RESOURCES COMMISSION AND TOWN OF LANSING,
WHEREAS, it is necessary, pursuant to the Conservation Law,
Part 3 -a of Article 5, the Water Resources of the State are subject
to the protection and control of the Water Resources Commission,
RESOLVED, Pursuant to

RESOLVED that General Fund bills #15 thru #42 totalling $47,397.68
and Highway Fund bills #23 thru #59 totalling $33,034.39 be and the
same are hereby approved for payment.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that 'the
Town Board of the Town of Lansing, County
of Tompkins, New York, at a regular
meeting of the town held on the 21st day of

`permissive referendum, a resolution
determining that the office of Receiver of
,Taxes and Assessments shall be an
appointive office in the Town of Lansing, as
follows:

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town.

after January 1, 1970, it shall be a Town of

WHEREAS, Section. 12 of the own .Law,
requires, that in a Town of the-first- class, a.
Receiver of Taxes and Assessments is
required to be elected for a term ofifour'
years, but provides that office of Receiver of
Taxes and Assessments may be an
appointive office in said town, and
WHEREAS FURTHER, said Section'120 f
the Town Law states that if said office of
Receiver of Taxes and Assessments is'
appointive, the Town Board may appoint the
Town Clerk of said town as Receiver of
Taxes and Assessments for a two year term,
NOW,•TH E R E FOR E, BE IT RESOLVED,
by this Town Board that the office of
Receiver of Taxes and Assessments, shall
be an appointive office in the Town of
Lansing; and be iffurther

Superintendent, has filed an application.
with the New York State Conservation
Department, Divison of Fish and Game at
its Regional Office at P:O. Box 1169 (Fi`sher
Avenue) Cortland, N.Y. 13045, wherel the

The applicant requests that he be issued a
permit to, rebuild gravel filled cribbing to
,protect existing water supply pump house,
at Esty Point, Cayuga Lake, Town' of
Lansing, Tompkins County.
Any person interested in this application
who wishes to become a "Party in - Interest"
in this proceeding in accordance with lthe
published; rules and regulations of the
Commission must notify the undersigned in
writing on or before the 14th day of March,
11969, stating specific areas of interest.
Any Party in Interest will be eligible to be
heard if a,public hearing is ultimately .held

A Joint Meeting of the Lansing Town Board and Lansing Planning
Board was held March 3rd at 8 P.M. at the Lansing Town Hall. Town
Board members present were": Harris: Dates, Floyd Ferris,'Charles'
Howell, James Kidney and Fred Spry. Planning Board members present
were: James Showacre, Peter Craig, Paul Barron, Fred Edmondson and
Bernard Ruzicka. Visitors present were: Frederick Steinhardt,
Edwin Filmer, Gordon Selden, Ernest Wilkinson, Arnold Volbrecht,
Marshall Volbrecht, Samuel Baughman and Reporter Walsh,
The proposed Comphrensive Ordinance drafted by the Planning
Board, which would regulate mobile homes and trailers, was gone over
and discussed by the Boards. Comparisions were made and discussed
in detail between the proposed ordinance and the Trailer Ordinance
now in effect.
