On July 25, 1968 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lansing Town Hall, Supervisor Dates
,and Thomas G. Miller, Engineer, publicly opened bids for the construction
of Water Mains, Contract #7, Lansing Water District #1.
Bids received were as follows:

Sealed proposals for the construction of
watermains and appurtenances on Cayuga
i H.eights Road, North Triphammer Road,
Brook Drive Subdivision, N.Y.S. Route 34,
Cedar Lane, Twin Glens Road in Lansing
Water District No. 1 will be received by the
Town Clerk at Lansing Town Hall, Route 34,
Auburn Road, South Lansing, New York,
until 2 P.M. E.D.S:T. Thursday, July 25, 1968'
and will then be publicly opened and read.
The work consists of the construction of
approximately 22,650 feet of 10 inch and I
smaller cast iron watermains and
appurtenances together with other
incidental and related work.
IIThe plans and specifications may be
inspected at the Lansing Town Hall as
I mentioned above and at the office of
Thomas G. Miller, Consulting Engineer, 203
North Aurora Street, Ithaca, New York.:
Copies of said Contract Documents may be
'. obtained from the Towri Clerk at the
Lansing Town Hall, Route 34, Auburn Road,
Sout'NtLansing, New York, upon payment of
Twenty Dollars (520.00) for each set. The
full amount of the payment wil I be returned
to alh prime bidders if said Contract
Documents are returned to the Town Clerk's
offioii good condition within fifteen (15)
days after the award of the Contract.
A113proposals must be made on the official
Proposal form, and be accompanied by a
certified check or satisfactory bid bond,
,)payable to the Town of Lansing, New York
ntheamount of 5 %of bid total.
All such bid securities will be returned
upgn the execution of the Contract and
urnishing of required Surety Bond by the
successful bidders, but in no case will the
j:checks of unsuccessful bidders be held
longer than sixty days after receipt of bids.
The Lansing Town Board reserves the,
right to reject all bids, or to reject any bid!
because of informality.

Visitors: Kenneth Tarbell, James Howell,.T.G. Miller,

MOTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney that
the minutes of the July 9th meeting as submitted by the
Town Clerk be approved,

Mrs. Coppock, residing at 758 N. Triphammer Road,
presented a petition to the Town Board with approximately 70 signatures, requesting
a speed limit of 40 mph, be established on N. Triphammer Road from Route 13 to the
intersection with Peruville Road. The Board discussed said request after which time
the following resolution was offered:
Resolution by Mr. Kidney, seconded by Mr. Spry:
WHEREAS, North Triphammer Road from its intersection with Route 13, north to
its intersection with the Peruville Road is a main artery for traffic into Ithaca
and. Cornell University, and
