NOT ICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE,T"E NOTICE that the Town' Board of the Town of Lansing and the Town Planning Board will hold a public hearing on a Proposed Ordinance relating to Subdivision Rules and Regulations for the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County, New York at 8:00 o'clock in the evening on June 27, 1968 at the Lansing Town Hall, South Lansing, New York. MOTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney that the minutes of the June 12th meeting as submitted by the Town Clerk be approved. Carried Mr. Robert Mack spoke to the board in regard to the Myers Road from Route 34B to the Town Park. The road is badly in need of repair and has become worse since the installation of water lines by the contractor. Supervisor Dates explained that the road is a county road and. Co. Hwy. Supt. Stevenson had promised to try and have it fired before July 4th but has had no word since that time. Lensing Highway Superintendent Sharpsteen will contact Mr. Stevenson and report back to the board on the County plans for said .road. Clerk read letter from Robert E. Congdon, Instructor of Driver &a Traffic: Safety Education, thanking Justice Spry for the excellent presentation made to the Ithaca College Driver Education Instructors group held at Ithaca College. Justice Ferris reported that a maxi had been hired as of June 24, 1968 at $2.00 per day to push the refuse over the embankment once a day at the Town Dump. Clerk asked to check with Town Atty. Williamson on legality-of compensation. Justice Ferris has received complaints-regarding the sluice -ways causing trouble at Lansing Station. Persons residing there feel a ditch by the creek is needed. Highway Supt. Sharpsteen advised that permission would have to•be granted from the R.R. Co. before he could proceed with any work there.. Mr. Ferris also stated that a request had been made by Giles Nichols to have the brush trimmed on the left side of his house. Water Supt. Howell stated that the water line installations and-connections on Cayuga Heights Rd. and Oakcrest Rd. are nearing completion and the area should begin receiving service by August lst. Board. discussed Lansing Sewer District #2 in relation to the Catherwood Subdivision, Highway Superintendent Sharpsteen informed. the Board that they had started digging the trench for the new garage. Also stated that it was taking one man approximately four days of each week to keep the lawns mowed. Spoke of roads that needed blacktopping but questioned whether the budget would cover it. Letter received and read-from Gerald Talandis stating his suggestions on proposed Subdivision Regulations. (continued) 0 at 1 0 r 1 0 continued July 9, 1968 a � � James Showacre, Chairman of the Planning Board, informed the Town Board that the Planning Board had. reviewed the reccrnmendations made at the Public Hlearing held June 27th on the proposed subdivision rules and regulations pre entrad at that hearing. Mr. Show. acre defined in detail the modifications recommended by his board and-asked the Town Board to consider these changes. It was mutually agreed by both boards that a, new public hearing date would be set on the amended proposal before the Town Board take any action.
