Blackwell, Inc. of Horseheads, N.Y. with a bid of $4,795.00 was the lowest responslble bidder, now therefore be it RESOLVED, to accept the bid of Charles J. Blackwell of $4,795.00 on condition that we have no present equipment that can be utilized. October 31, 1967 The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session on October 31, 1967 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding, to conduct Public Hearings on an Ordinance Licensing and Regulating Junk Yards in thepTown of Lansing and a Town of Lansing Ordinance Regulating Use of Town Dump, All Board Members were duly notified of said meeting. Murray Assessor Present Jane Bush Clerk Present Visitors: Wanda Brink, Patricia Nordheimer, Dr, DeCamp, Robert Gibbs, Jack Ettinger, Sherman Tobey, Larry Tvoraha. Proof of Notice having been furnished, the Public Hearing on the Town of Lansing Ordinance Licensing and Regulating Junk Yards was called to order at 8 P.M. by Harris Dates, Supervisor. Town Attorney Williamson read the proposed Ordinance Licensing and Regulaating Junk Yards, ex -lai_ning and defining each section contained therein, after which time Supervisor bates opened the Hearing for general discussion, Mr. Ettinger and Dr. DeCamp were of the opinion that all 'junk yards, including gas stations and garages, should be :;Izbjected to this ordinance and. not exempt. t Mr. Gibbs stated: "I am very sure that the intent of the Town Board in its wording and organizati,Dn tDf t'tlis ordinance was not to slap over personal property rights of t.rze individual ; bui:, there appears a ve ry thin line. I would suggest in the all inclusive tecllinology for any other purpose, to insert; or for any other commercial purpose."
