The Lansing Town Board held a Public Hearing pursuant to Order duly adopted
at a meeting of May 31, 1967 to consider increase of facilities for Lansing Water
District #1, and any other items of business which shall come before said Board.

Proof of notice having been furnished by the Town Clerk, the'Public ;searing
to consider increase of facilities for Lansing Water District #1 was called to
order at 8 P.M. by Supervisor Dates.
supervisor Dates, Attorney lifilliamson and Engineer's Miller.and.Crandall
explained in detail the map, plans, specifications and estimated costs relating
to the acquisition and construction of additional facilities and appurtenances
of the proposed project on behalf of Lansing Water District #1,
All persons desiring to be heard, having been heard, and no one appearing
objecting to said improvement, the Hearing was terminated at 8:30 P.M.
The Town Board at this time discussed the Hearing just held, after which
time Mr. Howell offered the Order Approving Acquisition and Construction on
Behalf of Lansing Water District #1 of Additional Facilities thereof and Appur.
tenances thereto, Pursuant to Section 202 -b of the Town Law, for adoption,
Said Order attached hereto and made a part thereof.

After discussion by the Town Board on Lansing Water District #29
Mr. Spry offered the Order Establishing Lansing Water District #2 for
adoption. Said Order attached hereto and made a. part thereof.

Donald Sharpsteen and. Town Clerk Jane Bush opened bids for one new four wheel
drive dump truck as advertised in the Ithaca Journal,

ON BEHALF OF LANSING WATER DISTRICT NO, 1 OF
ADDITIONAL FACILITIES THEREOF AND APPURTENANCES
THERETO, PURSUANT TO SECTION 202 -b OF THE TOWN LAW.
A map, plan, and report, relating to the acquisition and
construction on behalf of Lansing Water District No. 1 ,
of additional facilities therefor and appurtenances thereto,
having been prepared by Thomas G. Miller, Licensed Engineer
and Surveyor, of Ithaca, New York, and the estimated cost
of said project having been prepared by said engineer, all
in accordance with Section 202 -b of the Town Law, and a
public hearing having been called by the Town Board on said
proposed project, which hearing was held on the 19th day of
June, 1967, at 8 o'clock p.m. in the Town Hall, Town of Lans
N.Y., and said notice of the public hearing having been
duly published, and posted as required by Section 193 of the
Town Law; and said notice having described in general terms
the proposed improvement, and facilities to be constructed
and acquired, and the Town Board having held said public
hearing on the 19th day of June, 1967 at 8 o'clock p.m.
in the Town Hall, Town of Lansing, and no one appearing or
objecting to said proposed improvement, it is
ORDERED, that this Board hereby determines that on the
hearing and the evidence given thereat, that it is in the
public interest to acquire and construct, on behalf of Lans
Water District No. 1, the additional facilities therefor
and appurtenances thereto, briefly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the existing water mains on lands owned by
Lansing Terrace Apartments, Inc., and Karl D. and Mollie E.
Butler, and M.P. Catherwood, following a right -of -way owned
by the Town of Lansing, for a more particular description of
which, reference is made to a map made by Thomas G. Miller,
Engineer and Surveyor, Ithaca, New York, entitled, "Proposed
Water Service To Lansing- Highgate Subdivision ", dated
February 1967, a copy of which map, together with plans and

of the Town attorney, to prepare proposed contract or contfacts
for the execution of the work and the acquisition of the existi
facilities, and.in conjunction the Town Board to cause said
improvement to be constructed and acquired.

ORDER ESTABLISHING LANSING WATER DISTRICT NO. 2.

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
LANSING WATER DISTRICT N0. 2 IN THE TOWN
OF LANSING, TOMPKINS COUNTY, NEW YORK.
A petition in this matter for the creation of a Water
District in the Town of Lansing to be known as Lansing Water
District No. 2, having been duly presented to the Town Board
on the 12th day of July, 1965, together with the necessary
map and plan attached thereto, and an Order having been duly
adopted by the Town Board on the 12th day of July, 1965, for
the hearing of all persons interested in the matter, on the
27th day of July, 1965, at 8 o'clock in the evening thereof,
at the Town Hall, and a hearing by the said Board having been
duly held at such time and place, and it having been duly
resolved and determined following such hearing that the petiti
herein was signed and acknowledged or apprav;ed'ra- srequired by
law, and otherwise sufficient, that all the property and
property owners within the proposed district were benefitted
thereby, that all property and property owners benefitted
were included within the limits of the proposed district,
and that it was in the public interest to grant in whole the
relief sought, and it having been then and there further duly
resolved that the establishment of such district as proposed
be approved, an application having been thereafter duly made
in duplicate to the State Department of Audit and Control,
at Albany, New York, for permission to create such district,
as more fully provided for by Town Law, Section 194, and the
State Co:)mptrol'les having duly made an Order in duplicate dated
June 9, 1967, granting petition for the creation of said

district in all respects as petitioned for and approved by the
Town Board as aforesaid,-and one copy of such Order having been
duly filed in the office of the State Department of Audit and
Control at Albany, New York, and the other in the office of the
Town Clerk of this Town, and the Town Clerk having duly presented
such Order to this Board at this meeting, being its first special]
meeting, held after said Order was filed with her, it is hereby
ORDERED, That a Water District be established in the said
Town of Lansing, County of Tompkins, New York, as described in
the Order of the State Comprtoller aforesaid to be designated
as Lansing Water District No. 2 of the Town of Lansing, New York,
and to be of the description and boundary set forth in Schedule
"A" annexed hereto and made a part hereof.
