All board members having called the meeting to order at 7 :30 P.M. session at the Lansing Town, Hall to problems existing in the southern been duly notified, Supervisor Dates ROLL CALL Harris B. Dates Supervisor Present Fred Spry xJustice. Present Floyd Ferris Justice Present Charles Howell Councilman Present James Kidney Councilman ;Absent Jane Bush Clerk ;Present Visitors: Dr. Robert H. Broad, Atty. William Kerr and Arthur S. Shull, Dr. Broad was introduced presently serving the Lansing source of nuisance because of was most anxious to have this included in a sewer district, parties involved to liquidate and spoke in regard to the sewage treatment plant Apartments. He stated that the plant had been a operation and location and the Board ofHealth plant eliminated and the Lansing Apartments be He felt this was a most opportune time:for the the existing problem. Atty. Kerr spoke on behalf of the Lansing Apartments. He stated that Mr. Talandis would expect tQ be reimbursed by the Town.for his existing sewer plant if his dwellings were included in a district. The price of the plant was offered to the Town in the amount of $50,000.00. The Board discussed the offer made and concluded that it was far too high a figure to even consider. Mr.. Kerr to contact his clients regarding the boards decision and report back. Supervisor Dates to contact O'Brien.and Gere for their opinions on sewer lines and boundaries that would prove most feasible to the town. Meeting adjourned until 7:30 P.M., March 8th, to consider the hiring of a Water Superintendent and any other business that may need to be acted upon by the Board. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M. ,�� March 8, 1967 The Lansing Town Board met in an adjourned session as called by the Super_ visor at the adjournment of the March 7th meeting. Shull, The Board Members reviewed all the applications received Lansing tarater Superintendent position. After each application thoroughly, the following motion was offered: Present Present Present Present Present Present i i to date for the was gone over MOTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Ferris that �al.iel Abraham be hired for the position of Water Superintendent.,., r MOTION by Mr. Kidney and seconded by Mr. Ferris that said motion offered to hire Caliel Abraham be tabled for one week. 'Carried all present voted aye. Mr. Kerr informed the Board that his clients had decided to settle for $40,000.00 to liquidate the existing sewer plant now serving the Lansing.:Apts. RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell that the Board reject the offer of $401000.00 made by Mr. Kerr, representing the Lansing Apartments. Seconded by Mr. Kidney. Discussion followed. Carried with one dissenting vote of Mr. Spry, stating that he would prefer negotiations be left open without restrictions in the event that it is the most suitable solution.
