The Lansing Town Board met in an adjourned meeting as called by the Supervisor
at the adjournment of the January 12th meeting. The meeting was held at the Lansing
Town Hall at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

Visitors: Robert Gibbs and Engineer Thomas G. Miller,
Mr. Miller, Engineer explained in detail, the preliminary lay -out for proposed
water service for the Lansing- Highgate sub - division which is being developed by
Martin P. Catherwood.
MOTION

for Lansing
Water
District #1 for 1966 -1967
be as- follows:
Minimum Per Quarter (5,000 al. allowed) $8.50
Next 20,000 gal. /Qtr. @ 75¢11,000 gal.
Next 50,000 gal. /Qtr. @65¢/1,000 gal.
Next 675,000 gal. /Qtr. @ 50¢11,000 gal.
Over 750,000 gal. /Qtr. @35¢/1,000 gal.
10% penalty to be charged after 15 days,
Following discussion on above rates, a roll call vote was requested.

A lengthy discussion was held on the hiring of a water maintenance,man
which will be necessary in the near future. Nalifications, salary etc. were
debated. Equipment and the purchasing of a small truck to handle the job
efficiently were also discussed.
The meeting was adjourned until January 23rd at 7 P.M. at which time the
1967 program for the Lansing Park will be discussed and arily other business that
may need to be acted upon by the Board.

The Supervisor called the meeting'to order having the Clerk take the roll
call, after which time he advised the board that the meeting was open for
discussion and planning for the 1967 Lansing Parks Program,
Mr. Howell suggested that a Lansing Parks Superintendent be hired and his
responsibilities to include supervising and inspecting projects that are outlined
or scheduled for the park; present to the Town Board, any questions or problems
relating to the parks; observe activities taking place at the parks and work

in conjunction with the Town Board. A� lengthy discussion was held by the Board
in regard to the.hiring of a Parks Superintendent, after which time the following
resolution was offered:

RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell and.• seconded by Mr. Kidney:
RESOLVED that the Town Board hire Paul Trinkl as the Lansing Parks Superin-
tendent for the year 1967 at a`yearly salary of 1500.00.

The question of parking cars during smelting season and the launching of
boats for Town of Lansing residents was discussed. It was the Town Boards'
consensus of opinion that Lansing residents should be exempt from any charge
for parking or the launching of boats. Mr. Howell delegated to,have stickers
printed for Lansing residents to permit them free admittance.
The Board discussed in detail, the leasing of land at the Lansing Town
Park, with an area of approximately 140' X 1101, for the operation of a livery
and boat rental business. Specifications involved were enumerated and it
was the Boards' decision to receive sealed bids until 8 P.M. on Tuesday the
loth day of February 1967 at which time bids would be publicly openedand read.
The Board discussed the.Food Concession -at the Park. Sealed bids will be
received on the concession until 8 P.M. on Tuesday the 14th day of February 1967
at which time bids will be publicly opened and read.
Mr. Sharpsteen discussed with the Board, the purchasing of a mower.
The Board requested that he bring in prices and go into the matter more in detail
at a future date, . . . . . .
