All proposals must be made on the official proposal forms, and be ac- companied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond, payable to the Town of Lansing, New York in the amount of 5% of bid total. All such bid securities will be re- turned upon the execution of the .Con- tract and furnishing of required Surety Bond by the successful bidders, but-in no case will the checks of unsuccessful bidders be held longer than sixty days after receipt of bids. The Lansing Town Board reserves the right to reject all bids, or to re- Iect - any. _bid because of informality. Visitors: Thomas G. Miller, Engineer, William Robinson and Reporter Patricia Nordheimer, The Supervisor opened the meeting having the Clerk take the Roll Call. MOTION was made by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Howell that�the minutes of the June 7th and June 14th meetings as submitted by the Town Clerk be approved. Carried The Supervisor introduced William Robinson, Chairman of the Recreation Commission. Mr. Robinson gave a summary of.the summer activities, including swimming, girls and boys baseball programs and wrestling. A full and largely attended program is underway. Mr. Howell offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption -after discussion: WHEREAS, the Clerk of this Board has duly advertised for bids for a Water Storage Tank for Lansing Water District #1, and, WHEREAS, Natgun Corp. of 101 W. Dedham St., Boston,Massachusetts is the lowest responsible bidder with a bid of $59,980.00 for one 0.5 million gallon Prestressed Concrete Water Storage Tank to be erected on the Gibbs property together with incidental and related work, now therefore be it RESOLVED, on motion made by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry that the bid of Natgun Corp. in the amount of $59,980.00 for one prestressed concrete 500,000 gallon water storage tank together with incidental and related work be and the same is hereby accepted and the Supervisor is authorized and directed to complete said transaction on behalf of the Towne Vote of Town Board . . -. .-...(Aye) Charles Howell, Councilman Vote of Town Board . ..,(Aye) Fred.Spry, Justice Vote of Town Board . ...(Aye) Harris.B. Absent James Kidney, Councilman Carried Continued July 12, 1966 Mr. Howell offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLVED, on motion made by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry that Harris Dates, Supervisor, be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute any and all necessary petitions to the Public Service Commission and other State Boards, as required in the purchase by the Town of Lansing of the assets of the Lansing [dater Works Corporation. Schoenfeld to build a group of apartments on his property in the Town of Lansing were discussed. A_map showing the location of the site and a drawing of the elevation of typical buildings was viewed. Mr. Sharpsteen, Highway Superintendent, spoke of the Highway Superintendents School now in.session at Cornell University, Also commented on road:signs in regard to size etc. After discussion was had on property owned by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, Inc., the following motion was.made: RESOLVED by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Howell'that the Town Attorney write the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society, Inc., and ascertain if they will sell land indicated on Map B, consisting of about 4 acres, to,the Town for Town Highway Building for $1,200.00 Carried Clerk read letter from the N.Y.S. Conservation Dept, advising that they had taken title to properties once owned by Art Newman, parcel #76 -82, Clerk read letter from Dr. C.E. DeCamp acknowledging resolution adopted June 7, 3.966 in his behalf. Supervisor presented his monthly report and filed with the Town Clerk, AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry: RESOLVED that General Fund bills #104 through # 126 totalling $ 4,400.81 and Highway Fund bills #172 through # 203 totalling $ 18,513.94 be and the same are hereby approved for payment.
