Miller, Consulting Engineer publicly opened bids for the construction of a water system in the Brown Road, Warren Road, Dart Drive, Graham Road and St. Joseph Lane area of Lansing Water District No. 1 as advertised in the Ithaca Journal on October 6, 8, and 15. There were six bids received which were as follows: Bill-Auble: $132,552950 John Bellardino Inc.. : : : 0 157,908.40 Bruno Trim poli General'Construction : 188,955.00 R. DiAngelo Contractor: : : : : 118,641.00 Stage Construction�Co.: 164,260.00 Carpenters 129,512.00 Mr. Miller advised the bidders that they would be studied and be presented to the Town Board. October 27, 1965 The Lansing Town Board met in a Special Session as called by the Supervisor Harris B. Dates, on October 27, 1965 at 5 P.M., all board members being duly notified. Said meeting concerned the awarding of bid for construction of Water District (f1, Contract #1. Brink ROLL CALL Supervisor Present Justice Present Justice Present Councilman Present Councilman Absent Attorney Present Consulting Engineer Present Deputy Town Clerk Present Mr. Miller, Engineer, made his report of the bids received, also his findings of the investigation of the low bidder, Ralph DiAngelo. Mr. Miller recommended to the Board that the award be given to Mr. DiAngelo. After thorough study and discussion of the Board, the following resolution was offered: RESOLUTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney: WHEREAS, the Town Clerk of the Town of Lansing has duly advertised for bids for construction of a phase of Lansing Water District No. 1 in the Brown Road, Warren Road, Dart Drive, Graham Road and St. Joseph Lane area of said district; and WHEREAS, Ralph DiAngelo, Contractor, 133 Meadow Brook Lane, Vestal, N.Y. is the lowest responsible bidder with a bid for said work in the amount of $118,641.50 based on estimated bid quantities and including optional work, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the bid of Ralph DiAngelo, Contractor be and the same hereby is accepted for said work in the amount of $118,641.50 subject -•tc3 :.written notice° fromr•:the -Water Resources Commission that the plans and specifications for said work are satisfactory (oral approval already having been received); and be it further } RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed to send written notice to Ralph DiAngelo, Contractor, stating that his bid has been accepted and that in accordance with`the terms of the notice to contractors and the specifications, said company is required to execute the contract and furnish said contract bonds and insurance certificates; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the town.
