Visitors: Approximately thirty persons interested in•the T.V. Cable service
were present.
The Supervisor opened the meeting having the clergy: take the Roll Call
and read the minutes of the September 28th, October 5th and October 10th
meetings*

Progress of "later District #1 was discussed in detail. The possibility
of the Town of Lansing obtaining 50% of the cost of its first water supply
project from the federal government, which is allocated to towns with
populations under 1.090000 was thoroughly discussed, and the following
resolution offered:
RESOLUTION by Mr. Kidney and seconded by Mr. Howell:
RESCLVF.D that the Town Board-hereby authorizes the Supervisor. Town
Engineer Thomas G. Miller, and the Town Attorney, to investigate the
possibility of obtaining federal Aid for water and sewer facilities under
Public Law 89 -117 passed by Congress.
Resolution carried, all present voted aye,
Mr. Spry reported that 195 dogs received the rabies shot at the clinic
held in South Lansing on -October 4th,
Mr. Tarbell reported that the assessors had processed two dog claims.
one claim for sheep in the amount of $x30.00 and one for a poney. in the
amount of $125 *00.
MOTION by 14r. Ferris and seconded by Mr. Spry; 's'hat subject to
Dr. De Camp's approval, he will be appointed dog, enumerator for 1966.
Highway Superintendent Sharpsteen stated that Randall Tarbell had
requested the Town to take over his road. The Board said Mr. Tarbell should
make a formal request -of same,
MOTION by Mr. Nowell and seconded bit Mr. Ferris: That the new road.
adjacent t�o the Sheraton Motor Inn be named Sheraton Drive.
Carried all present voted Aye.
The Supervisor presented his monthly report and exp7��ined same in detail,

AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Kidney:
RESOLVED that General Fund bills 4172 through 486 totalling $1,544-.86
and Highway bills #248'through #270 totalling $29,926.65be and the same are
hereby approved for payment.
Carried all present voted Aye.

The Lansing Town Board met in special session October 19, 1965 at 7:30 P.M.
at the Lansing Town Hall. All board members had been duly notified by written
notice by the Supervisor. Supervisor Harris B. Dates presiding.

The Supervisor.opened the meeting having Mr. Williamson explain to the
board members a resolution authorizing the construction of a water system to
serve Lansing Water District No. 1 and authorizing the issuance of Serial Bonds
to pay the cost thereof. After a discussion, the following resolution was
offered.
RESOLUTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney:
BOND RESOLUTION DATED Oct. 19 1965.
A resolution authorizing the construction of a water system to serve
Lansing Water District No. 1 in the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County,
New York, at a cost not exceeding $960,000, and authorizing the issuance
of not exceeding $900,000 Serial Bonds of said Town to pay the cost
thereof.
Said Resolution to be published in The Ithaca Journal,
Said Resolution attached hereto and made a part thereof.
