October 5, 1965
The Lansing Town Board met in an adjourned meeting as called by the
Supervisor at the adjournment of the September 28th meeting. The meeting
was held at the Lansing Town Hall at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

Visitors: John Thompson, Jr., Dr. DeCamp, Royal Keller, James Cirona,
Paul Trinkl and Frank Nagy. r
A letter was received from the Ithaca Committee Opposed to Fluoridation.
Said letter was read by Atty. Williamson and after discussion by the Board
it was their decision that no action should be taken at this time.
The next item for the Board to consider was compiling figures for the
preparation of the Preliminary Budget.
The clerk presented the estimates filed with her.
At this time the Supervisor turned the meeting over to the Park
Commission. They presented and discussed in detail with the-Board, their
proposed budjet and estimated income for 1966.
The meeting was adjourned until - October 10th at 10 A.M. at which time
the preliminary - budget by the Town Board would be prepared according to
Town Law 112.

After considerable study was made by the Town Board and
Superintendent, the Preliminary Budget was ready for adoption
of hearing to be set thereon.

RESOLVED, that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the'
preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the lst
day of January 1966, the itemized statement of estimated.r:.evenues and
expenditures hereto attached and made a part of this resolution, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the
office of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any
interested person at all reasonable hours, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this ' Bo ard shall meet at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on
the 4th day of November, 1965, for the purpose of holding a public hearing
upon such preliminary budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk give notice of such public hearing
in the manner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law, and that such notice
be published and posted in substantially the following form:

FOR TOWN OF LANSING FOR YEAR 1966
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget of the Town of
Lansing, Tompkins County, New York•for the fiscal year beginning
January 1, 1966, has been completed and filed in the office of the -Town
Clerk of said Town

for inspection by

of this town:
Supervisor $3,500.00
Justice of the Peace, 2 @
$1;500.00 each 3,000.00
Councilman 2 @ $600.00 each 1,200.00
Town Clerk 4,600.00
Superintendent of Highways 7,750.00
