The Lansing -Town Board met in regular session at the lansing Town Hall on
September 13, 1965 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

The Supervisor opened the meeting having the clerk take the roll call and
read the minutes of the last meeting.
Minutes approved as read.
Mr. John Pickering spoke in behalf of the Nut Ridge Cottage Association
on the unsolved road conditions to their respective cottages. Mr. Dates
reported that the Town Board and the Highway Superintendent had been studying
this problem and expected to have an answer in approximately ten days to give
to the Association.
The progress of Lansing Water District #2 was discussed.
The Decision of the Water Resources Commission regarding the Water Supply
Application for Lansing Water District #1, was discussed_ in detail by
Atty. Williamson, Engineer Thomas Miller and members of the Board.
RESOLUTION by Mr. Kidney and seconded by Mr. Spry:
WHEREAS, the Water Resources Commission has approved the Application of the'.
Town of Lansing for a supply of water for Lansing Water District #1, and
WHEREAS, the decision authorizes a temporary supply of water for said
district from the Cornell Research Park - Tompkins County Airport source, and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for construction of said system must be
approved by the Commission prior to construction, 0
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that T.G. Miller, Town Engineer be and he
hereby is authorized and directed to submit plans and specifications for the
constructing of said water system in the Dart Road, Graham Road, St. Joseph Lane,
Warren Road and Brown Road area, to the Water Resources Commission for their
approval,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is
authorized & directed to advertise for bids for said construction, said bids
to be conditioned on approval of plans by Water Resources Commission,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that T.G. Miller is authorized and directed
to conduct test borings in the area at a cost not to exceed $600.00.

RESOLUTION by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Howell:
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed
to forward certified copies of all documents pertaining to the formation of
lansing Water District #1 to Sykes, Golloway and Dikeman, attorney's at law
in New York City preparatory to issuing Bonds and Bond Anticipation Notes.

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor, Town and Attorney and Town Engineer, be and
they hereby are authorized to negotiate with Mrs. Bolton - regarding a permanent
agreement for the obtaining of a permanent supply -of water from Bolton Point for
Lansing Water District #1.

WHEREAS, Ceracche,Television Corp. has submitted a request for a Franchise
within the Town..of;.Lansing and s.
WHEREAS, same has been modified by the Town Board,
NOVI THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of-Lansing
hold a Public Hearing on said Franchise on the 12th day of October at 8:00 olclock
in the evening thereof in the Town Hall.
Resolution carried all present voted Aye.
The Supervisor presented his monthly report and explained same in detail.

AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry:
RESOLVED-, that General Fund bills #154 through #171 totalling $ 49366969
and Highway bills #218 through #247 totalling $10,935.56be and the same are
hereby approved for payment.
Carried all present voted Aye.
