The Supervisor opened the meeting having the clerk take the Roll Call,
after which, he introduced Mr. LaRue and Mrs. Drake, Trustees of the Asbury
Church, Mr. LaRue stated that it was the desire of the Trustees and other
interested persons to have the Asbury Church preserved and suggested it
being used. for a Library or Historical Society. After some discussion,
Supervisor Dates appointed Councilman Howell and Justice Spry to represent
the Board and to consult further with the Trustees on these suggestions and
also the legality of the Boards position on these proposals.
Mr. William McGuire was introduced and spoke in behalf of several persons
who have cottages located at Nut Ridge. He stated that Earl Larsen is
constructing a Golf Course and the problem of the road used by the residents
of these cottages may have to be relinquished. They wondered the possibility
of the Town taking the road to the Indian Trail. They are most interested
in cooperating with Mr. Larsen but requested the opinion of the Board.
After discussion, it was the decision of the Board to meet with Mr. Larsen
and these persons interested and try and find a solution suitable to all
concerned.
The Clerk reported that Mr. Gerald Talandis had called on April 13, 1965
and requested to go on .record as apposing to Sewer District #1. He is in
favor of one large district which would provide for the gradual and orderly
growth of the town and not a piece meal development.
The Supervisor presented the Town Board the Accountants report of the
examination of the records of the Supervisor for 1964. Also the summaries
of the dockets of Justice Spry and Ferris were remitted. Filed with Town Clerk.
Attorney Williamson advised the Board that the Resolution to form
Sewer District #1 had not been completed to date. Final agreements of contracts
between the Village of Cayuga Heights and persons to be serviced within the
district must be gone over before Resolution is passed by the Board.
It was brought to the attention of the board that second class town,
without zoning laws, would be able to ban auto graveyards and junkyards
under a bill passed in the assembly and sent to the senate..
Supervisor presented his monthly report and explained in detail. Filed
same with Town Clerk,

time set for the Public Hearing on the Establishment of ;,later District #1,
and any other business that may need to be acted upon by the Board.
