The Lansing Town Board met in regular session at the - Lansing Town Hall
on February 9, 1965 at 8 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

The Supervisor opened the meeting with the RollCall and having the
clerk read the minutes of the previous three meetings.
Approved as read.
The Board was informed that Atty. Adams and Mr. Karl Butler were not
prepared as yet to give a definite figure for the entire purchase of the
Lansing Water Works, Test borings are now being made under the supervision
of engineer, Thomas G. Miller at Bolton Point, which is also under study
as a source of water supply for the southern part of the town.
Supervisor Dates advised the Board that he had met with the newly
appointed Park Commission and Dr. DeCamp had been elected as Chairman
for 1965. The Commission requests a meeting with the Town Board as soon
as possible.
Mr. Howell suggested that the Highway Superintendent draw up truck
specifications to present to the Town Board for future discussions
ORDER OF TOWN BOARD SPECIFYING TIME A14D PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
ESTABLISHMENT OF LANSING SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1., was duly adopted at this
meeting of February 9, 1965. Said order attached hereto and made a part
thereof.
After much discussion on the proposed sewer district in the southern part
of the Town•and Mr. Williamson reading and explaining a letter received from
the Tompkins County Health Department concerning the Howard Johnson's Motor
Inn Complex not desiring to be included in this proposed sewer district at
this time, it was decided to set up a meeting with Mr. Frank Liguori, Co.
Sanitary Engineer and the Town Board to go over this situation in further -
study.
A bid was entered in the amount of $25.00 for the old heating unit
and furnace at the Town Hall. After discussion the following motion was made:
MOTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Kidney:
To advertise for bids for the old heating unit and furnace.

Supervisor presented his monthly report and explained same in detail.
Filed report with Clerk.
AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Ferris and seconded by Mr. Spry:
RESOLVED, that general fund bills #18 through #32 totalling $5,037087
and Highway bills #7 through #47. totalling $63,405.82be and the same are
hereby approved for payment:
Carried all present voted Aye.
The Supervisor adjourned the meeting until February 16th at 8:00 P.M.
