October 13, 1964
The Lansing Town Board met in regular session at the Lansing Town Hall
on October 13, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

Visitors: Raymond Kulakosky, Ithaca Journal Reporter, Mr. Dougherty,
The Supervisor opened the meeting with the roll call and having the
clerk read the minutes of the October 6th meeting.
Approved as read.
Supervisor introduced Mr. Kulakosky and asked what he wished to bring
before the board. He stated that he had a road half built to his new
development and requested the town to plow same. After discussion, it was
decided that Mr. Sharpsteen - was to check the road and determine if it met
with town specifications.
Supervisor pre *ented his monthly statement and explained same in
detail. Filed with clerk.
The clerk presented the bills.
AUDIT RESOLUTION by Mr. Kidney and seconded by Mr. Howell:
RESOLVED that General Fund bills # 204 through # 219 totalling $ 2,557.90
and Highway bills # 216 through # 261 totalling $141;63:1:54be and the same
are hereby approved for payment.
Carried all present voted Aye.
Mr. Tarbell discussed assessment on several pieces of properties
in the Town.
Mr. Sharpsteen discussed the conditions of roads in the town. It was
brought up that perhaps the Sweazey Road should be abandoned for the winter
months. The possibility of closing the Brown Road was also brought up.
It was decided that the Highway Superintendent be directed to confer with
Town Attorney Williamson regarding the legality of how these problems
could be solved.
The Supervisor adjourned the meeting at 9:45 P.M.

struction of reservoirs, booster pump-
ing station, additions to said water
system, water mains, distributing
pipes and hydrants; and
WHEREAS, a proposed method of
financing, the cost of'said improvement
consists of the issuance of Serial Bonds
of said town to mature in annual in-
stallments over a period" not exceeding
thirty (30) years and payable in the
first instance from assessments levied
on benefitted real property of said
proposed district; and
WHEREAS, the maximum amount#
proposed to be expended for said .ins
