HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-06-30i June 30, 1964 The Lansing Town Board met in Special Session at 8 P.M. as called by the Supervisor to publicly open and read bids for food concession at Town of Lansing Park, Roll Call Harris Dates Supervisor Present Fred Spry Justice Present Floyd Ferris Justice Present Charles Howell Councilman Present James Kidney Councilman Present Donald Sharpsteen Highway Supt. Present Jane Bush Clerk Present The Supervisor advised that at this time the bids would be opened. He asked the Clerk to read notice for bids as published in the Ithaca Journal June 24 & 25, 1964. Clerk read same. Clerk advised that only one bid was received and that was from Rex Sheffield who had enclosed a certified check for bid of $56.00. MOTION made by Mr. Ferris and seconded by Mr. Howell to accept bid of Rex Sheffield for $56.00, providing a $50.00 deposit is made with the Town Clerk at the time of the execution of agreement. Said deposit of $50.00 to be returned to concessionaire at expiration of agreement if no repairs are necessary. Supervisor asked for a Roll Call vote on motion. The Board discussed the July 4th dedication of the Lansing Town Park. A chicken Bar -B -Cue to be held and other activities are planned for opening. RESOLUTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry: That Mr. Thomas Marchell be appointed as Park Attendant at Lansing Town Park with necessary authority. Salary to be $50.00 per week for 7 day week. Carried all present voted Aye.
