The Lansing Town Board met in an adjourned Regular Meeting as called by the
Supervisor at the adjournment of the June 9th meeting. Meeting was held at the
South Lansing Town Hall at 8 :15 P.M. after the Board had inspected the Town Park.

The Supervisor opened the meeting and informed the Board that persons in
the Dart Road district are anxious for action to be taken on their petition
filed with the Board on March 28, 1964 concerning the establishment of a water
district in their area. After much discussion, the decision of the Board
was as follows:
MOTION by Mr. Kidney, seconded by Mr. Spry: to rescind the Resolution of
April 14, 1964 concerning the Dart Road Water District and the following
Resolution be adopted*
WHEREAS,-persons in the Dart Road Area have petitioned for a water district,
which petition is incomplete in that it is not acknowledged nor have engineering
plans been submitted; and
WHEREAS, said petition is indicative of the desire of said persons to form
a water district within the area shown on the map accompanying said petition; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Board to do all in its power to aid
the people in the proposed area to form said water district,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to section 191 -a of the Town Law,
that the town appropriate a sum not to exceed $750.00 to pay for the cost of
preparing a general map and plan for a water district in the area shown on the
aforesaid map, which plans shall specify where the supply of water is to be
obtained; and all other requirements of section 192 of the Town Law; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the entire cost of said engineering plans
shall be charged to the water district when formed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board retain Thomas-Miller, Jr., as
its engineer to prepare said map and plans; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to a permissive
referendum.

above resolution to Thomas Miller, Jr.; and advertise in the Ithaca Journal

MOTION by Mr. Spry, seconded by Mr. Howell:
To adopt Rules and Regulations for Town of Lansing Boat Marina slips
as submitted and the form of the Boat Slip Permit, copies of which are
attached hereto and made a part hereof, and "the charges for boat slips
for the year 1964 are as follows: $60.00 per slip from May 1, to Oct. 30th,
said charges to be prorated from the day the slip is availablee Payment
will be due on execution of permit. No boat shall be permitted in slip in
excess of 16 ft.
Carried all present voted Aye,
After much discussion on the concession to be operated at the Lansing
Town Park, the following motion was made:
MOTION by Mr. Howell and seconded by Mr. Spry,
That `Porn Attorney Williamson write the bid for same, per the Boards
requirements.
Carried all present voted Aye.

RULES AND REGULATI.ONS
for the
TOWN OF LANSING BOAT SLIPS
In accepting a boat slip and in consideration of the issuance thereof,
the'holder agrees to waive any right or claim against the Town of Lansing
from any, and all liability arising from any cause and agrees to hold
harmless and idemnify the Town of Lansing from any and all liability with
respect to any claim for damages occuring to a boat, a person, property
of others while in or about said slip, or on the Town of Lansing property.
The'boat slip holder agrees to keep his assigned area clean and neat
at all times and shall store all waste materials in receptables provided by
the Town of Lansing.
He shall supply his own rope and other.mooring.equipment.
He shall keep his boat equipped with all of the safety equipment
required by the New York State or Coast Guard regulations.
No operation of boats for hire will be permitted without the specific
approval of the Town of Lansing.
The holder of said slip agrees at'all times, free access will be given
to representatives of the Town of Lansing, State or Federal officials, for
inspection purposes.
A permit holder who changes boats or home address or telephone number
must register the new statistics with the Town Clerk within ten days.
Boats which have not been removed from their assigned slip by
October 30th tnia"y",, be removed and stored by a commercial boat storage operator.
There is no guarantee that such storage will be covered storage and the Town
of Lansing will in no way be liable for any damages caused by such removal
or storage. Any boat, or boat and,motor for.which such services have been
provided may be recovered by the owner upon payment of all storage and other
charges, plus a 20% service charge.
Holders of 'a boat slip permit must agree, as a condition and in
consideration of the issuance of this permit, that the Town of Lansing shall
have the right to sell at public auction any boat, motor'or accessories not
repossessed by the owner by the next July 15th following such winter storage
for an amount sufficient to recover the storage and other charges plus a
30% service charge.
It is also the understanding of the permit owner that this permit is
not transferrable.
The Town.-of Lansing reserves the right to reject any application for
a slip and to terminate without prior notice any permit issued when, in the
opinion of the Town, questions of safety or public interest are involved,
or whenever any of the aforesaid rules and regulations have been violated.
