Approved as .read. Discussion on hours March lst, it was decide 9 :00 A.M. to 1 :00 P.M. 9:00 A.IT. to 12:00 P.M. that the Town* Clerk's office should be open. As of d that the hours would be Tuesday thru Friday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00-peM. *Saturday hours will be Closed on Monday.' Supervisor Harris Dates reported that Glen !.ad.e,.was to assume the responsibilitir of laying the pipes himself tin* order to be connected with the 41 McKinney ?Mater District. Fred Spry reported on County Resource Development meeting he attended on January 30, 1964. Primary discussion was planning ways and means of obtaining funds for water resource and sewer research. Supervisor Harris Dates read a letter received from the Greater Ithaca Regional Planning Board which is on file. Letter concerned a program to assist municipalities in the sound planning of sewer systems, financing of these studies completely borne by the State. After discussing same, Mr. Spry made motion and Mr. Kidney seconded to participate and the following Resolution made: WHEREAS, the Town of Lansing wishes to undertake a comprehensive sewerage stud* of the greater Ithaca area pursuant to Section 1263 -a of the Public Health Law; and WHEREAS, the Town of Lansing wishes to jointly undertake said study with the City of Ithaca, Village of Cayuga Heights, Village of Freeville, Town of Ulysses and Town of Ithaca and Town of Dryden: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. A Joint Municipal Survey Committee be formed, pursuant to Section 239 -n of the General Municipal Law, to make application for said study and administer and direct said study on behalf of the several municipalities. 2. Charle's Howell is hereby appointed and James Kidney Alternate, as a member of the Joint Municipal Survey Committee with the power to act in behalf of the Town of Lansing. 3• The exact limits�of the area the Joint Municipal Survey C, New York State Department of of Health and the Engineer, to be studied shall be determined by Dmmittee in conjunction with the Health, Tompkins County Department Carried all present voted Aye. Mr. Tarbell reported that the Assessment, Roll is to be completed May 1, 1964. Grievance Day this year is to be the 3rd Tuesday in June. He also reported that the Meeting in Syracuse was very informative and helpful for the assessors. 134 February 18, 1964 Continued RESOLUTION by Mr. Ferris, seconded by Mr. Spry: WHEREAS, The New York State Department of Public Works, assisted by the Town Superintendent of Highways, has made an inventory 6f the Town Highway System in the Town of Lansing, County of Tompkins; and has provided the Town with a map and a list of said highways stating the name and length of each and WHEREAS, The Town Superintendent of Highways did recommend approval of said inventory and map, now therefore be it RESOLVED, That the Town of Lansing at a• meeting held on February 18, 1964 accepts and approves said•inventory of Town Highways-as submitted by the New York State Department of Public Works and. filed in the Office of the Town Clerk and hereby adopts the same as'the•official Town record and map of Town Highways, and be it further RESOLVED, That four certified copies of this resolution be forwarded to the County Superintendent of Highways, who will retain one copy for his record and forward three copies to the District Office of the State Department of Public Works. Also reported that this years Erwin roads are to be the Armstrong Road, between Asbury Road and Peruville Road and the Holden Road from Decamp Roast to Brown Hill Road. These roads are to be rebuilt, new bases, ditches, stabalized etc. Floyd Ferris requested the ditches be cleaned out on the Town Line read leading to Nut Ridge. Supervisor presented his monthly statement for January, explaining same in detail and filing with Town Clerk. Motion made by Mr. Kidney and seconded by Mr. Spry to pay General Fund bills 14 18 through 420 Carried all present voted Aye. Motion made by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney to pay Highway bills. #23 through #556 . Carried all present voted Aye. Supervisor reported that O'Brien and Gere will complete their report early in March on their Sewage Survey. Resolution by Mr. Spry and seconded by Mr. Kidney that the Highway Superintendent be authorized of make purchases in the-amount of $500.009 Carried all present voted Aye, , Supervisor reported that he had been approached by residents in the Dart Road area as to the feasibility and legality of forming a water district in their location. Motion made by Mr. Ferris and seconded by Mr. Kidney to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M. I-
