October 5, 1963
The Lansing Town Board met in special session at Town 6lerk's Office Lansing Town
Hall So. Lansing 9:30 A. M as called by the Supervisor at-the September Regular meeting
to conform with the Budget Law . To check the budget estimates filed with the Clerk and
any other business that may need Board action. Clerk sent notices to members reminding

Visitors: Albert Buckingham, Tony Juracka, Kenneth Cook, Francis Sullivan,
Robert Holmes.
Clerk took the roll , two members absent.
The Supervisor opened the meeting adviseing that the Yaeeting called -by Law to
submit budget estimates and study in preparation f or the reliminary budget and any
other business .
The Supervisor asked the visitors if they had any thing to bring up before the
board started on the budget estimates.
Mr. Buckingham said that he was with the group from Swayze road to find out if
any thing could be done to make the road safe in winter .
Mr. Sullivan acted as spokesman he stated that there was year round dwellings
there now and that there would be more liveing there year round after they retired
they would like to have help to get out inthe winter , such as snow plowing and cindering.
Discussion:
The Supervisor asked Mr. Buckingham if he would dedicate a right of way North
to the Lansing tation road , this would get away from the steep hill , also there was
the problem of snow removal at the south due to the road naot being 50 foot wide
Mr. Buckingham said he would be willing to give this right of way and Hy. 6upt.
had been over it ., the easiest rout would be to come out on ansing Station road above
the Buckingham house this would get away iron such a large culvert as the ravine divided
above although a part of this would be on the swayze property.
Mr. Jullivan stated that there might be a possibility of wideing the road explaining
this to the Board.
..After some further discussion the Supervisor set up a meeting for Sunday Oct. 13, 63
10 :30 AM at the Swayze road to go over it and at that time the full Board could see
what the problem was and possibly come up with a solution to it . I °
The group thanked the Board and agreed to be present on the 13th,
The 0upervisor opened the meeting for presentation of the Budget estimates.
Clerk presented the estimates filed with him.
Discussion.
After considerable discussion on the estimates the Supervisor adjourned the n
meeting until Monday Oct. 7, 63, 8:00 P. M. to compile the preliminary budget at that
time , Adjourned 11'30 A. M.
