The Lansing Town Board met in regular session at South Lansing Town Hall
8:0o P. M. with Jupervisor Dates presiding .

Atty. Robert Hines, Mrs. Graham, Ray Kulakosky, Ed. Wilmer.
The Supervisor called the Board meeting to order .
Clerk advised that all members were present.
The Supervisor intrmduced Mrs. Graham and Atty. Robert Hines explaining the
problem they were there to discuss; the damage to Mrs. Graham's property due to
the rebuilding of Graham road .
Atty. Hines explained. that when the Graham road had been widened and raised
during the years and mostly during the recent rebuilding of the road , this raiseing
had damaged the lot owned. by Mrs, Graham and she was asking damages .
He quoted sections of the by law showing that widening and changeing of grade could
be done but the owners should, be compensated : unless they had been notified and
they had not acknowledged the notice.
He also cited certain court cases whereby such claims had been honored..
The claim is for the filling of the frontage to where the road grade now is for
a distance of 75 feet back into her lot , they are presenting this claim in person
and would present one in writeing .
Discussion:
Mrs Graham wished to state that she had no frontage on her lot left as the
road now is , also adviseing the Board of the condition the road was in 25 years
od so ago .
The Board asked questions of Mrs. Graham and Atty, Hines .
Mr. Hines and Mrs. Graham presented their claim .
After considerable discussion the Board agreed that they should meet at the
road where the this damage is claimed and look it over before any decision is made.
The `' upervisor asked the Board to meet there Sun Sept. 15, 9:30 A. M, to see
this and decide
The Supervisor advised the Board that when
had been moved leaveing a triangular section of
released to the then owners of theadjacent land
the Supervisor to have the Board act on this as
a mortgage is held up until this had been done.

Motion by Mr. Ferris seconded by Mr. Howells
Whereas The Tot,m Road known as the Dublin Road in the Town of Lansing hos
been improved under the Erwin Plan and
I'hereas the center line has been moved to the south now therefore be it
Resolved by the Lansing Town Board that all claims to any and all property that
I s within the old Road Bed be dedicated back to the present property owner subject
to Town Law•
Carried all voted Aye.

Town• -of Lansing, in the County of Tompkins, hereby certify, that
the certain.'town highway, hereinafter designated, `has not been
opened or worked for -more than six years last past, and that the
same has been abandoned by the public., and is no longer used as
a public highway, to wit, the Town highway in said town de-
scribed as'follows#
'That.part and section of the Dublin Road extending in an arc
from the north line of the Dublin Road as now*used and traveled
as a-highway: and extending north easterly in an arc to the right
through.lands.of Donald and Elizabeth Kimpland described by deed
recorded in the Tompkins County Clerk's. office in Liber 400 of
Deeds a',t page 47 and continuing on an6 arc to the 'right through
,lands o"f Howard A , Bernhardt. described.%by :deed recorded in the sail
clerk's: office in Liber 438 of Deeds Lat. page 602 to tithe north
line of Dublin Road as now used and•traveled, said section of
• roadway zmfxa,long the north line of premises of
Clarence C.- Benson .and- Mary M. Benson. described .by deed recorded
in the said clerk's office i'n.'Liber 347.of.Deeds at page 1370

Supervisor read letter from Kenneth C. hawk consulting engineer and filed with
Clerk.
The `'upervi.sor read budget notice from his monthly bulletin adviseing that
the legal procedure and preparation of budget Reminding the Board that estimates
must be biled between Sept 20 and 30th and that the Town Ulerk must present the
detailed estimate to the Town Board not later than October 5,
Supervisor asked the Clerk to read the minutes of Aug. 12th and special meeting
Aug. 19,
Clerk read the minutes of the above dates and no corrections approved
Justice 'pry asked for an interpretation of the election laid regarding
duties and powers of election inspectors .
After considerable discussion
Mr. spry offered a resolution
That the inspectors of election be checked as to their powers governing closeing
of the room at counting .
Biscussioh
Motion not acted upon.
The Supervisor presented his monthly report explaining same in detail and filing
with the Clerk.
Clerk presented the bills:
Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Spry:
That the bills numbered from 112 thru 127 as .listed in the record of Totm accounts
be paid as audited .
Carried all voted Aye.
The Highway Supt. signified that he would like to attend the Highway �upt's.
convention to be held at Jamestown , N. Y. September 12 , 13, and 14th .
Motion by Mr. Ferris seconded by Mr. Howell:
Thea the Highway 0uperintendent and any other Board member be authorized to
attend the Highway Superinte'odents convention at Jamestowm , N. Y. Sept.
129 13, and 14 , and. any necessary expenses to a charge of the Town ,.
Carried all voted Aye.
The Supervisor called a special meeting of the Board for Saturday 0at-it.5 163
63 9 *30 me at o. Lansibng Town Hall to conform with the Budget law in filing
estimates and any other bu. siness that may need action .
