The Clerk advised the Board that construction of the vault had. progressed to the point where a door could be installed and action should be taken to purchase one C The clerk presemted informal prices from the following firms: Luttons Office Equipment Co. Inc Ithaca Diebold Door Model 2080 2 hour $669.00 Tioga - I: ompkins Business Machine Inc. Meilink Vault, 2 hr . Door $950.00 T. G. Miller's Paper Co . Ithaca Mosler Vault Door # FS2 R $766070 Motion by.Mr. Kidney seconded by Mr. Howell That the Town Clerk be authorized to purchase from the Lutt.on's Office Equipment Co. Inc. of Ithaca 1 Diebold Vault 2 hour Door Model 2080 as per specifications at a price of.$669.00 delivered . Carried all voted dye Dec. 10, 62 cont'd. The 5�upervisor presented his momthly report explaining same in detail , also stateing that the Town's Compensation insurance premium under the County set up was considerable higher due to the City of Ithaca going under the County Plan again this being due to it being figured:on a basis of equalization rate He is haveing the Simpson agency figure *his premium with a insurance carrier to learn if it can be purchased at a lower figure . In order to withdraw from -the Bounty setup it has to be done by July of this next year. He also gave what the tax rate for 1963 would be this will be $21911 this including Town Hy„ General , Town Fire and County Tax . Report filed with the Town clerk The Supervisor asked for authorization to transfer from the general fund to the Highway fundsand the following nine fund transfers Motion by Mr. Ferris seconded by Mr. Kidney That the supervisor be authorized to transfer from the general fund to the Highway fund knd the following fund transfers . Carried all voted Aye. Motion by Mr. Spry seconded by Mr. Howell: That the Supervisor be authorized to settle with the County treasurer for the compensation Ins. Prem. and Election expenses in the Amount of $6,247.01 Carried all voted Ate Motion by Mr. Spry seconded by Mr. Ferris: That under section 77 of the General Municipal Law all sown Officers are authorized to attend the Association of Totim's meeting at New York-City Feb. 4, $, ind 6th and any necessary expenses to be a charge of the Town .c Carried all voted 'eye. Mr. Ferris informed the Board that Mrs. 6lose . a teachgr at Lansing Central and being interested in historian work had been helping Mrs. Parish , who had been doing Historian work.since Mrs Haring had been ill. Mrs Close was willing to help her and that there was aneed for file folders and a file. The § upervisor said that he had received a letter from Mrs Haring requesting him not to send 2nd salary payment as she had not been able to earn it. The,Board told Mr. Ferris to have Mrs Close get any folders they need and give him the bill also when the Clerk's office is moved there will be a file available. They commended them on the ggod work they were doing. The Supervisor Presented a letter from the State Board of Equalization and Assessment stateing that the 1961 study of market values in Lansing had been completed and appraisals have been fade of a number of typical and representative properties in each town and villa'.ge and-that their representative would call Friday Dec. 14,•62 9: 0 A4) Lansing Town Hall for a conferences and discussion on these appraisals. Motion by,Mr. Spry seconded by Mr. Ferris: That the bills listed in the record of Town accounts numbered from 182 thru 197 be paid as audited. Carried all voted "ye. << The §upervisor advised the Board that the Board should meet with the Hy. Supt. and discuss wages and salaries for Hy. personell in 1263. He asked for the meeting be adjourned to Dec. 17, 62 , 8:00 P. M. Town Hall o. Lansing.
