Visitors: Ruth Behrens reporter from the Ithaca Journal . Clerk took the Roll all members present. The Supervisor opened the meeting asking for the minutes of `Oct. 1, 8, and Nov. 5, meetings there being no corrections approved. The Supervisor advised the Board that a Enuiperator of dogs should be appointed in November . Clerk advised the Supervisor that`Delford Barnes was unable to do it due to health. Brian Lane came before the Board applying for the after explaining to him how it was to be done and when he said he would be able to do it along with his colle There being no other applications the following action Motion by Mr. Ferris and seconded by Mr. Howell: That Brian Lane be`appointed as Emumerator of dogg for him with the necessary supplies when received from the Dog enWerator job, it had to be completed ;e work.. was taken. 1962, clerk to furnish State Dept. Carried all voted Aye. The Supervisor read letter from Arthur L. Bergren of the State Board of Equalization and Assessments stat.eing they would make a survey every two years and that they would contact the Town Board before a rate is set . Letter read from County Tax 600rdinator Tom Payne regarding the list of changes in property assessment for the currant year by the Assessors; this list should be in by Nov 14, . Copy of letter�,mailed to Cayuga Crushed Stone Co. and General Crushed Stone Co., plants by the loknkins County Health Dept. stateing the findings of investigation of dust nuisance by the New York State Health Dept.. This shows even after their installation of expensive equipment to control dust there still remains a dust nuisance and by further installation to their present equipment the dust could be controlled and nuisance eliminated . The 5�upervisor advised the Board a resolution of the Board was necessary that in order to have a Youth Program !I Resolution by Mr. Spry seconded by Mr. Howell: Whereas it is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of Lansing to establish a Youth Recreation project and Whereas the Town Board of the Town of Lansingis about to submit an application for such a project to the New York State Youth Commission for its approval,, reimbursement of funds expended on said project as provided by Chapter 56 of the Laws of 1945 as ammended : now therefore be it Resolved, that such application is i.n all respects approved and g arris B. Dates Supervisor is hereby directed and authorized to duly execute and -to present Nov. 12 cont'd. 696 Youth program resolution cont'd* said application to the New York 'Tate Youth 6ommission for its approval. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Carried all voted Aye. The Supervisor presented his monthly report explaining same in detail and fileing• with the Town Ulerk . The Highway Superintendent advised the Board that the State Highway rebuilding of route 34 takes approximately 20 feet of the Town Garage property and within this line is the Town Well., when contacted by him before work started State Hy. Engineers told him that they would. not touch the -well and very small amt. of land would be taken . Work being done by contractor indicates different . The Board advised the Highway uperintendent to contact Atty. Williamson if they intend to take the well. The lerk presented the bills election and othercurrent.bills. Moved by Mr. Ferris seconded by Mr. Kidney: That the bills numbered from 142 thru 181 as listed.in the record of Town Accounts be paid as audited . Carried all voted Aye. Adjourned 10:00.P. M. t
