The Supervisor called the meeting to order dispenseing with
minutes of last meetings at this time He asked that any routine
acted upon first ,before starting work on the preliminary budget,

permission and
easement to lay a 1 inch
water
line in Lakeview Drive .
Discussion
Reasons being explained by Hy. Supt.
Motion by Mr. Kidney °seconded by Mr. Spry:
That the request of Mr. Frank Trinkl for easement to lay a 1 inch water line in
Lakeview Drive , crossing drive approximately 251 feet from the center of 34 B
is granted provided it is laid under supervision of Highway Superintendent.
Carried all voted Aye.
Councilman Howell advised the Board -that Tb*,Atty -,4. Bert I. Williamson ,
at the request of the Town Board presented a proposed ordinance to regulate Trailer
Parks and Junk Yards
Discussion:
Mr. Howell expressed opinion that the ordinance were needed but the one proposed
should be gone over with Atty. illiamson and made not so complex if possible.
This the Board was in agreement and as a public hearing was necessary before
enactment the Board should set a public hearing date and work with Atty. before this
date to revise the proposed ordinance if possible .
Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Kidney /
That a public.hearing be---held on said Trailer Park and Junk Yard orinances on the
November 5, 1962 at So. ansing Town 14all 8 :00 P. M, ,
Carried all voted Aye.
The �upervivor advised the Boar he had a request from Mrs. Ann Ayers to
use the conference room of the Town Hall for a Sunday school Sunday mornings,
Motion by ter. Ferris seconded by r. Spry:
That for a trial period Mrs, Ann yers would be granted permission to use the
conference room of the Town Hall for Sunday School,
Carried All vote ye,
Mr. Ferris brought up the question of the upkeep of the Town Dump stareing
that adjoining Towns were useing the Dump but not contributeing any thing to
keeping it leveled and properly covered.

Mr. Ferris stated that as he saw it the only solution was to have an ordinance
and then bill other Towns for the use of it .
At this time no action was taken .

Letter from Ernest A. Dahmen Jr. Atty. for N2w York 'Tate Electric and Gas Corp.
entering a protest as to how the Triphammer evelopment Corp. were gradeing near
their substation this not being as understood by them .
Supervisor and Hy upt. advised that they had met there with all parties concerned
and it now was satisfactory to all parties.
Letter from Clerk of thin -Board of Supervisor adviseing the Town that a resolution
had been passed allowing the gravel road allotment of $3,000, to the Towns for
1963.

The next item for the Board to consider is the compiling of.the preliminary
budget.
The Clerk presented the estimates to the Supervisor.
After considerable study by the Board members and Hy. Supt. the Preliminary Budget
was ready for adoption and date of hearing to be set thereon.
Resolution by Mr. Spry, seconded by
RESOLVED, that this Town Board does

hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary
year beginning on the 1st day of January 1963,
revenues and expenditures hereto attached and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the office of
the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested person
at all reasonable hours, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board shall meet at 8:30 P. M. on the 5th day of
November 1962, for the purpose of holding a public hearing upon such preliminary
budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk give notice of such public haring in the
manner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law, and that such notice be published
and posted inssubstantially the following form
NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET
Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget of the Town of
Lansing for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 1963 has been com-
pleted and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, at Ludlowville, N. Y.,
where it is available for inspection by any interested person at all
reasonable hours.
Furthere notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of
Lansing will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public
hearing thereon, at the South Lansing Town Hall at 8 :30 P.M. on the 5th
day of November, 1962, and that at such hearing any person may be heard
in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or for or
against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of
the following town officers are hereby specified as follows:
Supervisor $27009
Justice of the Peace 2 @ $1200, each 2400; Total
Councilmen 2 @ 480. each 9606 Total.
Town Clerk 2700.
Superintendent of Highways 70000
