The Lansing Town Board met im regular.session at
8:00 P. M. with Supervisor Dates presideing.

The Supervisor opened the meeting by ha veing the.�'lerk take the Roll ,
read the minutes of the Aug. 13 and adjourned meeting held Aug. 20, 62.
Minutes read Atty. Thaler's name to be corrected to Manley Thaler also
County Judge Simpson changed to Supreme Court Judge Simpson , these changes made
minutes approved .
Councilman Howell reported on the Park at Myers, it had been opened for
weekends for swimming with 2 life guards and was operating satisfactory .

The Supervisor advised the the Board that estimates for the compiling of the
preliminary budget should be filed by Sept. 30, P1erk would get the forms to the

The Preliminary Budget would be compiled at the Oct. 8th regukar meeting and date

Justice Ferris stated that Harold Hush would like the Dates road between
the Jerry Smith road and the Fenner road repaired so that he could transport farm
machinery and produce from lands he works

Thsi brought up by Mr. Howell that Dave Hardie had asked that the Town remove the
hedges along Brown road as it was a hazzard in winter , drifting snow clogged
the road and that this was school bus route and mail also he had milk to get onilt
These roads were decided to check on at the road tour.
Highway Supt. reported on the regraveling of the Sweazey road and Jtarks road
and''the fixing up some short stretches of road.
The Supervisor presented his report explaining same in detail, reporting receiveing
$3.269.10 from the County for work at the Tompkins co. Airport. Fileing report
with the Clerk.

Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Kidney:
That the bills numbered from 120 thru 131 listed in the record of Town accounts
be paid as audited.
Carried all voted aye.
Highway Supt. advised the Board that the New York State Hy. Supt's Issociation
would be held-in Elmira, N. Y. Sept. 19_20 and 21 and he would like to attend.
Motion by Mr. Perris seconded by Mr. Howell:
That the Highway Jupt, be authorized to attend the New York State Highway Supt's.
Association meeting at Elmira , Sept. 19- thru the 21st and any necessary expenses
be acharge of -the Town.
Carried all voted aye.
Motion by Mr. Spry seconded by Mr. Kidney :
That the polling%place for registration days Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 , from 12:00 Noon
to 9:00 P. M. be the South Lansing Town Hall for all five Districts , Clerk to
notify the Commissioners of Election .

Supervisor reminded the Board of the Sept. 30th road tour , the Special meeting
of the Board Oct. 1,• for the review of estimates filed with the Clerk and the
compiling of the Preliminary budget at the Regular Town Hoard meeting Oct. 8th .
The Oct. 1st and 8th meeting to be held at Town all and at 8 *00,P. M. , also
any other business that need to be acted upon.
