The upervisor opened the flay regular meeting with �'lerk calling Roll and introduceing the visitors. Visitors: Helen Gordon ltInaca Journal , Mrs. Ford, Richard Hildreth, James nennett, Gordon Selden Robert Angel, Paul La France, Dr. Lyman Fisher, Norman Wheeler Clerk read the Minutes of the April 9th meeting no corrections approved. The Supervisor advised t "„ Board some action shoz.ld be taken on the letters of Sovocool and `'ovocool regarding the obligation of the Board to build a 2nd road into the development of Mr. Horvath which right of !way was included in the Deed for the first road and the matter of the Town releaseing the right of sway along south Boundary of property of Frank Nagy and. lands now belonging to Town of Lansing as a Park. Discussion: The Clerk advised the Board that Deed did convey the 2nd right of way, and he had checked the record of minutes from 1957 thru 1961 and found no committment of the Board. for the building of this 2nd road for Mr. Horvath.. The Supervisor a(- 3vi8ed the Board that Town property could not be released onllr by referendum which request for the-Nagy release would come :within. s Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Kidney. That the Clerk advise Atty. Sovocool and Sovocool that under the present policy of the Town for requests of developers for construction of roads into their developments and that there being no record of obligation of the .Tc wn ^to build t'nis road the .Board therefore are not obligated to build this road , Although the Bpard will accept the road when built by 11r. Horvath according to specifications of the Lansing `lighwa;T uperinteOent and maintain it thereafter, and the request for the release of right of way along the South Boundary of the Frank agy property into Lands:J °of.,the Town of Lansing Park be denied as in order ,to do this a referendum should be had. Carried all voted "Ye. The ') upervisor advised Assessor Chr. Tarbbell that several requests had been received by him that greevance day lie held also in the evening as well as the daytime hours prescribed by Law. Mr. Tarbell stated that there was nothing in the Lazy but that they could hold evening hours for grievance day and this would be done. 42 May 14, 62 cont'd. The supervisor at this time invited. the visitors to present any problems they might have Dr. Fisher expressed his idea on the decision o' the Board made on the request for the ornamental lighting of the Cayuga Heighte interchange to new route 13, his feeling being that if the State wishes this type of lighting they should. pay for it. He complimented the Board on their decision not to contract for this. As the Insurance carrier had been requested to furnish information as to what the premium would be for liability coverage on the Town Park at I '?yers, the Supervisor passed a letter to the Board from Simpson Insurance agency which explained that the premium would be based on what activities were to be had at the Park The Insurance Co. would. have a representative call and reveiw this with the Board in the near future meanwhile the Town was covered by binder. Justice Fred Spry r.eporbed on the happenings at Myers during the Smelt season , there being several nights that a number of ca.r owners and fishermen had been ticked for illegal parking. The reaction of the public so ticketed was that +.iere should be some signns put `up so they would`be able to know* where to park. ` Mr. Kidney reported he is in the process of drawing up a resolution on the appointing of a planning board . He is being assisted by Atty. "4illiamson and a copy would b� given to each Town Board Member a week before the next regular Board meeting that they wo id be wale to study it before the meeting. r) The Supervisor asked for a report of the committee on the Town bump , Mr. Mr. Howell and Mr. Ferris reported on haveing Delford. Barnes at the Dump May 12th and 13th Mr. Barnes furnished a written report on the number useing the Dump May 12, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday May 13, 8:30 AM t -,o 3:00 PM Most of the trouble was in people not dumping over end of dump but when ad.vised to do so were cooperative except in a few cases . Hys upto gave his report , most of the hy. troubles at this time was dust. ile was starting to oil in front of houses to control the dust He also was going to try an experiment on top of Atwater.road. Mr. Oheeler asked if there was an ordinance whereby anyone opening a Town Road to place utilities across should keep it filled The Supervisor explained that anyone opening a Town Road should contact the Highway ''upe.rintendent and when permission was granted the ones pla.ceing the utilities across was responsible for k:-eping the opening filled. The supervisor gave his report explaining same in detail and fileing with the Town Clerk i May 14, E6nt'd 4�= The Town clerk advised the Board that the polling places should be named as there would be at leased one change. Discussion: The Board members were of the opinion that District 3 should be changed to the So. Lansing Town Hall elimanating the long stairs, also that dist. 4, should be in the Lansingville Fire hall. Motion by Mr, Ferris seconded by Mr. Howell: That the polling places for 1962 in the Town of Lansing would be: District No. 1 District No. 2 District, No 3 Moved from So. Lansing ire Hall District No. 4 Oft District ! o' 5 . The Clerk presented the bills: Ludlowville Fire Hall North Lansing Grange Hall So. Lansing Town Hall So. Lansing To be Moved from Lake Ridge Home Bureau rooms LANSINGVILLE FIRE HALL Continued at Gibbs School House, C Carried all voted Aye. Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ferris: That the bills numbered from 9hru 76 as listed in the record of Town accounts be paid as audited . Carried all voted Aye. Adjourned 9045 P. M. M
