The Supervisor called the meeting to order haveing the Clerk call the roll,
reading of the minutes dispensed. with until later in the meeting.
The supervisor called upon Atty. Ranlev Thaler to present his problem to the
Board The Supervisor introduced Mr. (haler to the Board statding that he
had a petition to present for the discontinuance of a part of Graham Road.
Mr, Thaler presented'a petition of tTriphammer Development Co.Inc. for the
discontinuance of a portion of Graham road , that portion south of the new route
13 loca.tion.
This petition being explained in detail be Mr. Thaler, with maps and information
as to the agreeing of property owners on this section to be discontinued also assurance
that the New York State Electric.and Gas Corp, would be granted a right of bray for
ingress and egressto and from its premises to North Triphammer rosd.

Discussion:
The supervisor advised Mr. Thaler th t he would. present this to Atty. Williamson
for further study and advise Atty, Thaler,
The 'supervisor introduced Mr. Lacey of the New York State Electric and Gas
Corp.
Mr. Lacey explained that the New York ''tote Dept, of Public works had mapped
for construction an acess to the new route 13 by pass at the Cayuga heights road,
and the State had signifiel they would provide ornamental inteechange lighting
fixtures for certain acess to route 13 in the. amount of $5010000 , wireing and
power to be paid for by the town or city of Ithaca where they may be instilled.
Mr. Lacey presented a proposition for the Town of Lansing to contract for this type
of lighting on the Cayuga. heights acess The cost would approximate $75,00 per
light and. form 45 to 50 lights would be placed as the State would lay this out .
This would mean a annual cost of approx. $3500, per 0 He explained the layout
of the acess to the Board by maps as drawn by the Stn.te .
Discussion:
No action was taken at this time
The Supervisor next introduced Atty. Roger Sovocool. and 'v°dilliam Horvath
Mr. Sovocool stated that he came inthe interest of Mr. Horvath , to learn if
the Board would consider the building of a road parallel to the one the Town
built before the Town c'ianged ttier policy of building rodds Sor developers.
This other road as shown on the map presented by 111r. Sovocool , Mr. Horvathstated was
deeded to the Town at the time the first road was completed and was of the opinion
that it should be considered an obligation to be built the same as no 1.

Discussion
As the deed was not available at thias time no decision could be made. At the next
meeting deeds would be. available and the discussion continued,
At this time the Supervisor asked the clerk to read the minutes of the Feb.
19th meeting.
Minutes read. no corrections approved,
Other visitors arrived: 'James good, James Bennett, Ethel Ueld.en and James Howell.
The supervisor asked-the visitors if they had. any problems they wished to
bring before the Board,
Mr. Bennett presented. the Board with a newspaper clipping regarding tYe
equalization rates set for certain sections of the state by the state equalization
board. These in nearly all instances were lower than in 1961,
Mrs Selden wished to go on record complimenting the Board and Town workmen
onnthe fine job being done on the remodeling of the So. lansing School as a Town
Hall. In her opinion it i,� a progressive step in preparing for the future growth
of the Town of Lansing.
Reselution.by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Spry:
That Mr. Shipway of All Steel Equipment Co. be awarded the bid. on office furniture
as amended •

TheS0upervisor gave the Board an explanation of what took place at the
hearing in Albany before the State Equalization Board protesting the. tentative
equalization rate for Lansing in 1962,
In attending the hearing he learned that the majority of the Towns in the State
were given lower rates than 1961 also some Towns were greatly penalized
Results of this hearing would not be known for a time,

The- piighway Supt. gave his report , opening sluices and work in the park and
gdtting machinery ready for Spring.
He also advised the Board that the relocation of Hill Crest road at the La Bar
place was in gyestion as Mr. La Bar had contacted him to find out what the Town
was going to do about Mr. Drake cla.oseing the road where it entered Hill Crest
He atated that no easement had been signed for this relocation and he was suposed
to have entrance to Hill Crest past the Drake dwelling.
Hy. Supt. advised the Board that the clerk had searched but had not found any
evidence of this 'on file or in the minutes. •

The Supervisor advised the Board that he and Hir 'upt along with Atty. Williamson
would confer on this to get it cleared up.
The Supervisor gave his monthly report explaining same in detail fileing it
with the Town Clerk,
The Clerk presented the bills.

Motion by Mr. Kidney seconded by Mr. Spry:
That the bills numbered from 24 thru i4�f as limited in the record of Town accounts
be paid as audited.
