M. in special session called by the Supervisor in'taccordance with Section 62 of the Town Law to consider petition of Ambo- I Inc. for establishment of a sewer District in the Town of Lansing also to act on the approval of the establishment of the sewer district, under the provisions of the Transportation Corporation Law and any other business that may be brought before it . Pres, Clerk Pres: Supervisor Dates introduced the following Visitors <i Attorneys Armand Adams rMrs Cook ;Gord6n Wheler Engineer of Stearns and Wheler Civil and Sanitary Engineers Cazenovia N. Y. , and Mr. Talandis Vice President of AMB® - I Inc, , The Supervisor called on Atty. Adams and Mrs. Cook to explain Transportation Corporation Law which permits the developer of property to build and operate his own Sewage disposal district Atty. Adams explained how the Transportation Corporation Law operated for the help of private developers in building and operating their own sewage disposal systems, stateing with the help of Stearns and '4heler Civil and Sanitary Engineers of Cazanovia, N. Y. now working onn the City of Ithaca sewage disposal system expansion had developed. a set of plans for a sewage disposal system to re built to serve the development of Ambo- I Inc. *hich Mr. Talandis is the Vine President The development being a. part of wh:zt was the Karl Butler property located in the Town of Lansing bordering the Village of Cayuga Heights on the Triphammer Road Mrs. Cook witl the help of Atty. Williamson read and explained that part of the Tra.nsportatiol Law Governing the buildin„ and operating of a selPlage disposal system and how it applied to Town governments in which thf= System is to be built and operated. Petition in the matter of the Application for the establishment of a Sewer District in the Town of Lansing Tompkins Col.inty, New York presented by Ambo -I Inc. , Air. Talandis Vice President this District to be on his Development in the Town of Lansing Known as Lansing Appartments This petition read and filed by the Clark. Discussion . Motioli by Mr. Ferris seconded. by Mr. Howell: That the following order in the matter of the petition for the establishment of a Sewer District on the North Triphammer Road, in the Town of Lansing, Tompkins Countv, New York be adopted by t'zis Town. Board . Carried all voted Aye. Order attache Ito minutes This order is hereby made a part of these minutes and attached thereto. Moved by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ferris: That Stearns and 'llheler , Civil and Sanitary Engineers of Cazenovia N. Y. are hereby nominated by the Torn Board of the Town of Lansing as the Engineering firm to do all things necessary in connection with a proposed Sewage Disposal Corporation on Property owned by Ambo -I I nc. on N. Triphammer Road in the Town of Lansing pursuant to Article 10 of the Transportation Corporation Law, all at the sole expense of the proposed Corporation . Carried all voted `eye. 10- 31 -60 cont'd. Supervisor asked Atty, Williamson to brief the Board on what�informatiori he had received from Albanir in regard ito the Lansing Central School istrict - turning over the South Lansing School to the Toen for a Town Office building. Atty. "illiamson stated that he had been advised from Albany that the only way this building could he turned over to the Town without being put up to Auction at highest bidder was to have special Legislation which would allow the District to turn it over without consideration, Discussion Motion -31T Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ferris: that the Town ,Attornerc s hereby Authorized and directed to confer with the Attorney for the Lansing Central School District and prepare necessar� legislation for the transfer of former Lansing District No 13 property , located in outh Lansing, N. Y. from the Lansing Central School to the Town of Lansing without consideration, for use as a Town of Lansing Office Building Carried all voted Aye. Meeting adjourned 10:30 P. M.
