M. at Lansing Town Garage with Supervisor Dates presideing. n Harris Dates Floyd Ferris Charles Howell James "Kidney Don 5harpsteen Joseph Mc Gill Roll Call Supervisor Justice Peace :Councilman Councilman Hy. Supt. Clerk Pres. Pres. Pres. Absent Pres. Pres Visitors Howard Stevenson and Atty. Walter Wiggins, Richard Riley Casper Fenner and Alfred Pierce. Kenneth Tarbell ahr. of Assessors. Supervisor opened the meeting for business , reading of the minutes was dispensed with at this time . Mr Dates called on Mr. Stevenson and Atty. Wiggins to state their problem. Atty. 4iggins reviewed what to Mr. Stevenson's and his knowledge action was taken in August of 1954 regarding the Town agreeing to build a road into Mr. Stevenson's development on Cayuga Heighte road known as Cedar Lane on his map, provideing deed for road was given Town and definate building plans for the - building of 2 houses Clerk checked the records of August 7, 1954 and read resolution adopted at that timeto bulid the road when conditions were met, also clerkhad checkedfiles and found deed to this road as given by Mr. Stevenson and recorded in vo. c'lerk's Orrice Although Mr Stevenson was not at this time able to meet requirements he wished to know that when he was that the road committment would be met.: The Board went onn record reaffirming the resolution a-.)proved Aug. 7, 1954. Motion by Mr Howell_ seconded by 1'r Ferris: That this Board reaffirm the resolution made byn the Town Board on ugust 7, 1954; which motion provides that the Town would take over Cedar Lane Road as shown on the Stevenson Plan when there is a definate plan for construction of 2 or more homes. Carried all voted Aye. Mr. Dates called on Mr. Fenner and rlr Riley. 'Mr Fenner and lglr. kiley sated they came to Board meeting to learn ;pout the status or the Davis-road from Keim's corner to the Cayuga County line as to -UII being in the Erwin road plan and when it was to be built.' Discussion Mr. Dates and Hy uperintendent Sharpsteen explainer t_.othat this road had_ been approved by the County Highway Superintendent and the State inspector of Erwin Plan for the program of 1960 there being 3 roads scheduled for 1960 the first to be the For 'd Hi.-!.l read As the Davis-road has been approved under the EnAn plan it will be built according to time this year . Mr. Alfred Pierce came before the Board regarding the possibility of getting a loan from the School and Goapel fund on his garage and small house on that lot. Mr. Dates explained to Mr. Pierce and the Board that the Lansing Central School Board had asked him for the disollution of this fund distributing the principal to the School districts of the Town . Atty. Robert Williamson read tho law on this request Discussion . Mr. Pierce eas advised.that until the matter of dissolution of this fund was settled no action would be t -.ken . Feb. 6, 1960 Cont'd. Supervisor read a letter., handed to the Board earlier from Mrs. Ethel Selden . regarding the disollution of the School and Gospel fund, if this could be accomplished this fund should be fransfered to School District, to be used for shholarship . The Town Board is in unamious agreement in the request of Mrs. Selden if this can be accomplished Supervisor Dates appointed the following Town of Lansing dark Committee: Chr. Charles Howell Ruth Davis, Ethel Selden, Cliffd)rd Holden, Robert Brill, Jack Burling, and Fred Spry to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board. Care of the Town Dump.. Clerk read letter ff°om Mr. Robinson statein.g he and. Mr. Davis would keep the lump leveled once a week for $400.00 any time without a contract would be at $8.00 per hour. Discussion Motion by Mr Ferris seconded by Mr. Howell: That Atty. Williamson be instructed to draw up a proposed contract for maintaining the Town Dump at a figure of $300. for balance o" the year, this contract to be presented. to Tir. robinson and Mr. Davis for their approval ha Carried all voted Aye. Report of Jane Bush C611ector for 1959 business read and filed by lerk. Supervisor gave his report explaining same in detail and filed same with the Meek . Mr. Tarbell Assessor ('hr. reported on the work assessors were doing in assessing for 1960 he also explained that the Town should have an ordinance regulating the.placeing of trailers anci�Trailer Parks. Atty. lliamson reviewed an ordinance regulating the placeing of Trailers and Parks passed by the Town of Bingh��,mpton and advised the Board that he had written the Association of Towns requesting any information they may have in this respect. Mdition by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ferris: That Kenneth Tarbell Chr. of Assessors be appointed to designate new numbers in the house numbering system of the Town of Lansing also t:-) act as multiple houseing building inspector of Lansing. Carried all voted Aye. Motion by fir. Ferris secinded by Mr. Howell That the bills numbered from 1.0 thru 18 as listed in the record of Town Accounts be paid as audited . Carried all present Voted Aye. Highway Oupt. presented his report routine winter work.being done cindering, plowing snow and repairing equipment Also Supt. read a letter received by him from the Asst. Supt. Ithaca City School Dist., corN m ending him and his crew on the way they had maintained the roads the School Busses traveled this winter. Resolution by Mr Howell Seconded by Mr. Ferris: Resolved that the Highway �upt.be aut'�orized to purchase a cinder spreaderfrom J. C. O'Shay at a price of $950.00 C:.,rried All present voted Aye.
