recommended that the Board follow the recommendation of the Committee appointing Mr, Spry.
Letter filed
Supervisor asked for nominations .
Mr. Howell nominated Mr. 'dilliam Ful.Wson as a candidate for Justice of
peace .
Mr. Kidney nominated Mr. Frederick Spry Jr. as a candidate for Justice of
Peace.
Supervisor asked if there were any other nominations , there being nor other
names submitted nominations were closed and a discussion period on the nominations
was opened,
Mr. Kidney stated that he wanted to go along with the recommendation of the
republican committee , and if the board go against the committee they would feel
that the board has no faith in the work of the committee also the North end. of the
Town has no representation on the Bo-?rdand they are entitled th this representation.
This is my reason for standing behind the committee and Mr . Spry as a candidate .
Mr. Howell stated in his views that if this appointment of Mr. Spry was
made there would be three of the board working for the same organization and although
this is nothing derogeratory against this man and in any political organization
it is not good in haveing too many people from the same organization as municipal
officers.
Mr. Kidney stated that Mr. Spry was not directly connected with Cornell
but was employed by certified seed.
