The-Lansing Town Board met at South Lansing Fire Hall
regular meeting for organization of Board 1960 , Supervisor

Supervisor Dates opened the first regular and organization meeting of
1960 dispensing with thra reading of the minutes, and only routine organization
business to be transacted as there is a Justice vacancy and Councilman Howell
being called out of town due to illnes in the family .
Visitors: Mr Lierbert Robinson
Supervisor invited Mr. Robinson to state his business .
Mr.Robinson submitted a bid for keeping the dump leveled and covered also a
revised price for time without a contract .
Supervisor and Board wished to take action on this when full Board was
kn attendance action was postponed until the Feb. meeting.
Supervisor Dates presented his annual report for 1959 as audited by Mr.
T. B. 14axfieldC. P. A. also his monthly report explaining same in detail copy
of audit hereby attached, - monthly report ifliled with the Town Clerk.

Supervisor explained:he had one outstanding Hy payroll check for $123.0 4- �X
dated 519%58 No.-M6 and he wished. resolution authorizeing him to stop /
pa meet on this check.

That the reportof audit of Supervisors accounts for 1959 be approved as presented

Supervisor advised the Board that chairman of assessors should be appointed
and salary set .
Motion by i "lr. Terris s ,con.ded bar Mr.. Kidney:
That Kenneth A. Tarbell be appointed chairman of Assessors and the salary be
the same as 1959 , Chr. $2,000. , 2 at $820. each.
Carried all voted eye.
Town Clerk notified the Board that he recommendsWanda Brink as Deputy Clerk
with same duties as Town Clerk compensation to be at rate of $1.00 per houras
per budget also Grace Mc Gill as Deputy Jerk same duties as "lerk .

That the Town Board establish the office of-Deputy Supt, of Highwa;;rs appointment
to be made by Highway Supt.
Carried all voted Aye.
Highway `superintendent Sharpsteen appoints Lloyd Sharpsteen as Deputy
Highway Supt.
Motion byM'�r. Ferris seconded by Mr. Kidney:
That the Town Board establish the office of Deputy Supervisor to sign checks

That all Town Officers includeing the Highway Supt. are to be allowed the sum
of .08 per mile for the use of their automobile in the discharge of their
official duties, constable mileage-according to law what he is entitled to
under fee compensation.
Carried all voted Aye.

That the Highway Supt. be authorized to purchase small tools, tires, chains etc
for use of the Highway department in the amount-of )500.00

That the Highway Supt. be authorized to purchase gravel for Highway work at
a price of 10¢ per y =3rd.

Motion by Rr. Kidney seconded by j'r. Ferris:
That the Surety Bonds of Collector, Supervisor, Hy. upt., Justice of the Peace,
and Town �'lerk be approved as to Suretif, form and amount of coverage.
Carried all voted Aye.
Clerk read letter from the association of Towns, giveing schedule for
annual °meeting to be held Feb. 8,9,hnd 10th in New York pity.

That all Town Officers who wish be authorized to attend the Associationof Town's
annual meeting in New York City Feb, 8,9,and 10th all necessary expenses to be
a charge of the Town;, also-4 arris Dates-Supervisor be the delegate with Floyd
Ferris Justice of Peace as alternate .

That Atty. Robert 'Tilliamson be designated as Attorney for the Town of Lansing
as needed .

Letter from State traffic Commission read that the request for installation
of Otop sinus at intersecti.ns of 3413 and Emmons and Lansing Station road, and '
Drake Road. at 34B and 34 had been gr,�.nted and signs were being installed.
Letter received from Stat Traffic Commission in reference to speed control
on Dart road, forms to be filled out signed by Town and Co. Hy. Supt. om receipt.
Commission would investigate.
Resolved by Mr. Kidney seconded by Mr. Ferris:
Resolution that the Town Board authorize that vouchers for town claims may be
audited , allowed and. paid if certified to be true and correct in a statement
by or on behalf of the claimant upon a form similiarly perscribed and approved
and presented insame manner, as a verified voucher This beingan extension
of resolution passed Aug. 2, 1947
Carried all voted Aye.
Motion by Mr. Kidney seconded by Mr. Ferris:
That Delford K. Barnes be appointed constable for two years.
Carried all voted Aye.
Motion by Mr. Ferris seconded by Mr Kidney:
That the bills numbered from 1 triru 7 be paid as audited and listed in the record
of town accounts.
