The Lansing Town Board met in regular session 1:30 P. M. at South Lansing Fire
Hall with Supervisor Dates presiding.

Supervisor Dates opened the meeting for business
Clerkread the minutes of the August 1st meeting no corrections approved
Letter from-Mr. Drake stateing that the Insurance Company advises the placeing
of no trespassing signs on the park lands until development is started this
have the effect of reduceing the liability in case someone was injured Insurance
Company recommends it.
Supervisor read a letter from Mr. George Gyrisco of Twin Glens regarding
a)recent,�I aopment in their area of 2 homes along with a dog kennel to house
about 5 dogs his would create a nuisance and tend to down grade the value of the
property in this area also the problem of a suitable supply of water would create
a health problem this letter along with a petition of residents of this area was filed.

After discussing this matter at length it was the opinion of the Board that
as there was no zoneing ordinance in the Town the persons interested should contact
Mr. Mc Lean the builder of the kennell and find out just what his plans were also
Supervisor stated he had talked with the riea.lth deZj anththey had advised him
that the=y had no record of turning down any one for reason of the type of drainage
and water .
Supervisor read -a letter from Mr. Ligouri of the County i -lealth departmeht
regarding the part the Health department played in the setting up of new houseing
developments.
Letter from Bruce Dean Atty, for Alex Cima regarding the deed given to the Town
by Mr. Cima to lands for a highway at his development letter filed.
Assessors and Supervisor advised the Board that the Jehovah Witnesshad- served
papers on the Assessors continueing the proceedings for total exemption of their
property .
The supervisor reviewed figures of taxes paid by them since the case was started
in relation to what the cost of litagation had been . This showed about as much
revenue received as the cost . Also no decision had been handed down on the appeal
of Jehovah Witnesse's from the duleing of Judge Lounsberry denying their request
for tax exemption of their property in the Town of Lansing and untilthis decision
is received the board was in accord that the Town should continue to fight the case,
as Mr. Newman was not in attendance he and Mr Adams is to be notified to continue
to defend the Town in this matter.

Highway Superintendent gave his report explaining about damageing bridge
that "crosses salmon creek to the Stockton-place while graveling the road a truck
partially collapsed the bridge , insurance carrier advised him that company would
pay County for repairs. . The Horvath road hid been graveled. Myskow Erwin Road
completed and has been approved for reimbursement. Warsell well which was damaged
while building Erwin Road is repaired and is to be pumped out and cleaned also pipe
to be covered leading from well thru field.
Sluice at Lansing.Station to be changed to run into R. R. ditchto correct water running
against R. Collins cottage. He also reported Chickahominy Erwin road under way and
hoped to finish within a 5 week period.
Supervisor reported the highway budget was low and he needed to borrow on
revenue anticipation note the.sum of $16,500.00 to carry over untilanticipated
revenues were received .
Resolution by Mr. Kidney seconded by Mr.

Supervisor presented his monthly report explaining same.in detail and filed
report with the Town Clerk.
Resolution by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ozmun:
Resolved that the next meeting of the Town Board shall be a special meeting held
Sat. October 3, 59 9 :30 AM. at office of the Town Clerk for presentation of Town
Officers estimates for 1960 and any other business that may be brought before it, and
that the next regular meeting will be held at Lansing Highway building Sat. Oct.
10th 1:30 P. M. at that time a preliminary Budget will be compiled

Mr. Ferris reported 850 directories for House numbering had been completed by
the Fire Companies of Lansing and distributing htem and the numbers woild start
soon cards would be mailed out after being checked

Association meeting at Rochester N. Y. Sept. 23, 24, and 25any necessary expenses
to be acharge of the Town .
Carried all voted Aye.
Motion by Mr. Ozmun seconded by Mr. Howell:
That Justice of the Peace Floyd Ferris be authorized to attend New York state's
gagistrates Association meeting at Saranac ake Sept. 23, 24, and 25and 26,
and any necessary expenses to be a charge of the Town.
Carried All
Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Ozmun.
