The Lansing Town Board met in regular
1 *30 P. M. with Supervisor Dates presiding
session at the South Lansing Fire Hall,-

Visitors were John Dart, and Kenneth A. Tarbell Chr. Assessors..
Supervisor called the meeting to order Breading of the minutes of June meeting
dispensed with until later in the meeting.
Supervisor .Dates explained the meeting Mr. Tarbell , Mr. Payne and himself
had with the new york state electric and gas Co. on assessment of Miliken Station
there being a difference of opinion on assessment which will probably be settled by
grievance day. Grievenee day to be -held Tues. July 14, at the So. ansing Fire Hall.
Mr Ferris and Mr. Dart reported on the house numbering directory ,
explaining that additions should be made to the directory to complete it
for sale . Additions should be a part designating road names with the house
numbers thereon enableing one to determine the location of a parcel of
property irregardless of who resides there, as changes of persons resideing
at a particular house number are quite often. This was discussed and as Mr.
Ferris is chairman of committee working with Fire Companies putting out the
directory and numbers for sale Mr. Dart and Mr. Ferris are to work with Fire
Compaines in makeing the changes to directories if possible.
Minutes of the June 6th meeting read no corrections approved.
Supervisor explained that he had not turned matter of the School and
Gospel mortgage on the John Malley property over to the Atty there being
a possibility this property would be sold.
Supervisor also gave the following reports :Atty. Williamson Roger Larue
and Atty. John La Pinto supervisor met discussing the Sperry Lane right
of way no agreement was arrived at further discussion to take place in
La Pintos office.
The general fund being very low due to State Retirement payment of $4,500.
and, that as a larger part of this payment was for Highway personell a resolution
should authorize a payment from the Highway fund to the General fund in the
amount of $2,000. .
His monthly report was explained and filed with the Clerk.
Resolution by, Mr. Ozmun seconded by 'Ir. Ferris
That the Highway `' uperintendent be authorized to pay to the General fund
out of Highway fund the sum of $2,000. to partially pay the Towns share
of retirement payment.

Carried all voted Aye.
riighway Superintendent reported he had to stop work on,the Myskow Erwin
road as the shovel had broken down , parts expected in within the week and
within two weeks it would be ready for gravel. Also the top had been put
on the Emmons road .
He recommended stop signs be installed at the intersections of the following
state roads Drake road and 34 Drake Road and 34B, Lansing Station Road and
34B, Emmons road at 34B. That the Tmwn erect stop signs at the intersection
of Davis Road and Emmons Road .
Resolved by Mr Rowell seconded,by Mr Kidney.
That as recommended by the Highway uperintendent the State Highway Department
be requested to install stpp signs at the following intersections ;
Drake Road where it interesects Rt. 34 , Drake Road where it intersects 34B,
Lansing Station Road where it intersects 34B and Emmons Road where it intersects
34B. and the clerk send this request to Mr. D'Arcy , New York State Department of
Public Works Coutt House Ithaca , N, Y. And also Town to erect stop
added signs at intersection of Davis road and Emmons Road .

That the bills numbered from 82 thru 103 listed in the record of Town Accounts
be paid as audited .

Resolution by Mr. Dates seconded by Mr. Ozmun:
Resolvrd:
Whereas death has taken from us a trusted and valued friend and public Officet,
Charles Scofield,.
Therefore be it Resolved.
That the Town Board of Lansing express to his family sincere regrets
for the loss.of a conscientious public servant, who at all times had the
of the Town of Lansing at heart.
Further Resolved,
The Clerk to send a copy to Mrs. Scofield.
