Ordinance 'cbntd.
20 The entire net proceedsof any
game shall be exclusively devoted
to the lawful purposes of the
organization permitted to conduct the
same.
3. No single prize shall exceed the
sum or value of two hundred fifty
dollars.
4• No series of prizes on any one
occassion shall aggregate more
than one thousand dollars*
5. No person except a bona fide member
on any such organisation shall par -
ticipate in the management or operation
of such game.
6• No person shall receive any
remuneration for participating
in the management or operation
of any such game.
7. The unauthorized conduct of a bingo
game and any willful violation of
any provision of any such local law
or ordinance shall constitute and be
punishable as a misdemeanor.
Resolved further that the games permitted under the aforementioned
Articles may also be held on the first day of the week commonly
known as Sunday .

Resolved by the Town Board of Lansing that a
be held on May 24, 1958 at the South Lansing Fire
of 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon and 8:00 o'clock

WHEREAS, after due publication of notice, a public hearing upon
an ordinance authorizing conduct of the game of bingo in the Town of Lansing,
County of Tompkins, and State of New York, having been held in the Town
Hall on the 2alday of May, 19589
NOW, THEREFORE, at a regular meeting of the Town.Board held on
the 3rd day of May, 1958, on motion of Councilman Kidney, seconded by
Councilman Howell, be it
Rl1SOLVED AND ORDAINED, that it,shall be lawful for any author-
ized organization, as defined in Section 476 of Article 14-G of the General
Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the game of
bingo within the territorial limits of the.Town of Lansing, subject to
the provisions of this ordinance, Article 14-G of the General Municipal
Law and Article 19 -B of the Executive Law, and the following restrictions:
1. No person, firm, association
corporation -or organization,
other than an authorized organ®

Motion by Mr Ozmun seconded by AL r. Xintz:
That the Town Board conduct the special election May 24, 58 with Town Clerk
and'Deputy Town lark Wanda Brink acting as Inspectors of election.
Carried all voted Aye.
Mr Kenneth Tarbell Chr. of Assessors placed before the Board that Or.
Gordon Begent has requested a reduction of his assessment of approximately
$13000.00 if not he mould take court action.
After a discussion r Tarbell was informed that the Board would stand by the
dicision of the assessors"in this matter.
Highway duperintendent Sharpsteen reported on his recommendation for the
purchase of a stone spreader stating-that-to date he had not been able to get
price or proper specifications in order to adveetise for purchase of same.
He also reported that he had contacted County Highway Supt. Miller
in regard to the taking over of t .ie,,,lpart of Town..of _Lansing , Genoa Town line
road known as nutridge road this re tiller informed was up to the Town Board
of Genoa and Lansing and Gail'Ball Cayuga County 'highway Supt.
Highway Superintendent read a letter State tabor Department giving the
results of a recent inspection of the Town Highway Building , this citing
changes to be made within 20 days to conform with the Sanitary code.
After a discussion on this the Board delegated the highway committee ,
Howell, Itintz and Sharpsteen to make a study of the changes recommended
with a thought toward expanding the building to meet shop needs as well as
conforming with to Labor departments orders.
Report of receiving claim from William Kelly for damage claimed to have
been done to his carwhile Highway Dept. were plowing snow on his road
this aatter was referred to the liability insurance Go* for disposition .
Highway uperintendent read a letter from Carl Dates regarding the abandonement
of that part of Algerine road from where it meets the lensing Station road
extension to the Lake, this being agreed at time deeds from Dates and Don Fenner
were given for rights of way for the Lansing Station extension.
Motion by X* Mro Kintz seconded by Mr. Ozmun*o
That upon the recommendation of Town Highway Superintendent according. to section
212 A of Highway Law approximately 370 feet of unused highway East of Lehigh
Valley Rail Road Right of way at end of Algerine road be abandoned and will revert
to owners deed to be furnished by Supervisor this in consideration of right of,
way obtained in 1956.
Carried all voted aye.
Motion by Mr. Ozmun seconded by Mr Kintz:
That bills numbered from 47 to 51 listed in" t4e record of Town Accounts be
paid as audited.
Carried all voted aye.
Motion by mr Ozmun seconded by Mr. Howell:
That on presentation to the Board of a certified bill the Supervisor pay to the following
Cemetaries the sum of $28.00 each for Memorial Day purposes , Asbury, East lapsing,
German, .Lake Ridge, Lansingville, Ludlowville, and North Lansing cemetaries.

Carried all voted Aye.
Supervisor Dates presented his monthly report with explainations and
filed same with the Town Clerk.
