The Lansing Town Board met in regular session at Ludlowville fire Hall
1*30 P. M. with Supervisor Dates presiding.

Supervisor Dates opened the meeting welcoming the new Justice J'gace Mr. Kints
and visitors .

Mr. Dixon acted as up from Lakeview drive he stated that
spokesman for the group ,
they felt the Town had done a good job of snow removal during recent storm but had
some questions regarding haw snow removal equipment was alloted to the different
roads, if it could be possible to have some person available to contact in order to
find out just when a particular road would be polwed` out, the possibility of
additional and larger equipment owned by the Town use on own roads only, also
the difficult problem of keeping snow from being piled uplin driveways by equipment.
I discussion period was had during which time all members of the group stated
their:vfews�on questions.
Supervisor Dates explained to them the Town owned the trucks and the County owned
the plows and by this *ot up we were obligated to remove snow from the State and County
roads first , 46'r, which the County paid man power and ,rental of equipment owned by the
Town. As for a full time manned telephone during the- season and additional snow removal
equipment owned by the Town this could be taken up at budget time. and- if taxpayers
wished to pay additional taxes for this service the board could add.this service.

Motion by Mr. Kintz seconded by Mr Howell:
That Mr James Kidney be appointed chairman of the Town of Lansing Youth
Recreatinnproject .

Highway Supt, aharpsteen gave his report , which dealt entirely with
the difficult task of snow removal during the recent w6lizzards.
This being a severe strain on the Town motorized equipment , also explaining
being able to acquire !a banal surplus sno Go truck and blower with motor this
beingppssible due to the state of emergency caused by the snow storm and
blizzard.
Motion by Mr. Howell seconded by Mr. Osmun:
That due to the emergency caused by the blizzard of Feb.15 and 16 the
highway superintendent be authorized to purchase a Sno Go Naval surplus
from Frank Costia , Ithaca, at a price of $1950.00, mounted on a 1942

and $22.00 for a pair:of tire chains .
Carried all voted Aye.
Mr. Kintz.brought up that Mr.. kbraham Nichols at -Myers nhd.- .advised him
of the extensive removal of top soil from the property formerly owned'by
frank �Iillick located owast of the Myers Highway and Bridge would in time
of high water jeopardise the highway and property at Myers* his ,was discussed
and decided to look it over as soon as weather permitted..

Supervisor Dates presented his monthly report P laird Highway and
General receipts and balances filing same with the Town Clerk.
Motion by Mr Kidney seconded by Mr. Howell:
That the-bond of Carleton Kints be approved as written being in sufficient
ammount and as to curety co .

Motion by Mr 02mun seconded by Air• Kintz:
That the bills numbered from 24 to 33 listed in record 'of Town accounts be
paid as audited.
Carried all voted Aye.
