Home My WebLink About2026-06-24 Emergency June 24, 2026 1 EMERGENCY TOWN BOARD MEETING June 24, 2026 An Emergency Meeting of the Lansing Town Board was held at the Town Hall Board Room, 29 Auburn Road, Lansing, NY, and streamed live on YouTube on the above date at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Ruth Groff, Supervisor, and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Roll call by Deborah K. Munson, Town Clerk, showed the following to be PRESENT: Judy Drake, Councilperson Christine Montague, Councilperson Joseph Wetmore, Councilperson Ruth Groff, Supervisor ABSENT: Laurie Hemmings, Councilperson ALSO PRESENT: Guy Krogh, Town Counsel, Mike Moseley, Director of Public Works/Highway Supervisor, Walter Hang, and a few other attendees. MOTION TO ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION Supervisor Ruth Groff moved to ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS PROPOSED, PENDING OR CURRENT LITIGATION AND MEDICAL, FINANCIAL, CREDIT OR EMPLOYMENT HISTORY OF A PARTICULAR PERSON/CORP, OR MATTERS LEADING TO SAID DISMISSAL, REMOVAL, PROMOTION, APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT, DISCIPLINE, DEMOTION, OR SUSPENSION AT 5:32 PM. Councilperson Christine Montague seconded the motion. All in Favor – 4 Opposed – 0 Councilperson Joseph Wetmore rescued himself from the discussion on medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person/corp, or matters leading to said dismissal, removal, promotion, appointment, employment, discipline, demotion, or suspension at 5:37 p.m., and he left the room. He remained in recusal and absent from the room during the initiation of Town Board discussions respecting pending or current litigation, and returned at around 6:05± p.m. MOTION TO EXIT EXECUTIVE SESSION Supervisor Ruth Groff moved to EXIT EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 6:39 PM. Councilperson Judy Drake seconded the motion. All in Favor – 4 Opposed – 0 MOTION TO ADJOURN MEETING Supervisor Ruth Groff moved to ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:40 PM. Councilperson Judy Drake seconded the motion. All in Favor – 4 Opposed – 0 Minutes taken and executed by the Town Clerk.
