Call Meeting to Order Present: Ed Dubovi, Robyn Bailey, Travis Kitch, John Fleming Absence: Aziza Benson, John Hatfield, Brian Boerman, Kristin Maushart, Emily Phillips Non-CAC attendees: Christine Montague and Ruth Groff (Town Board), Ashley Seyfried (Director of Sustainability, Southern Tier Regional Board). A quorum of the CAC members was not present. 2. Discussion of Town of Lansing Climate Smart Communities status Ashley Seyfried as the Town of Lansing’s CSC coordinator had identified numerous actions that the Town had taken that could be submitted to the CSC program for certification at the bronze level. She also identified other actions that might be credited to the Town once proper documentation can be identified for submission. Her efforts gave a real boost to the Town with regard to the CSC program and provided the impetus to dig into past records. Certification may be a help in obtaining state funds for future programs. 3. Old business At the February meeting of the CAC, it was proposed to look into the management of the meadows encompassed by the Lansing Center Trail. Some clarification is needed as to efforts by the Parks and Recreation Dept with regard to the maintenance of this property. The idea of a “Bioblitz” for this property has strong support and planning will continue to try and have this happen in May/June. 4. New Item A request has come to the CAC to look into the conservation issues identified in the Open Space Conservation Plan as it relates to the TeraWulf project. As a detailed plan has yet to be submitted to the Planning Board, the CAC will hold on this until the re is a plan to which one can respond.
