and the Clerk instructed to draw warxa.nt for them, Seconded by MT. Graham.

WHEREAS, the Amerlc an jelevision & Communications Corporation has
here ofors filed an application with the Townn Board of the Town of
Groton for the approval of a Fi=chise Agreement with said Town of
Groton to furnish televis;iori and. related cable si�rvice., and
WHEREAS, a copy of ' the pxogosed Franchise Agareenient has heretofore
been Filed with the Town Clerk of the Town of Groton and notice of
such filing having heretofore bean published in Community Newspapers,
and
WHEREAS, this matter has come on fox a public hearing before the
Town Board of the Town of Groton on the 10th day of July, 198+
and this Board having considered the same;
NOW THEREFORE, be it Te:olved that the Town of Groton does hereby
approve and adopt the Franchise Agxeement for the furnishing of
television) and x'el.ated signal sermvices to the Town of Groton as
set .forth in the attached. Franchise Agreement, and that Teresa
Robinson, Tokm SupervisoT o,f the ',Down of Groton is hereby dkx'ected
and authorized to sign the same on behalf of the said Town,

Supervisor read letter xeceived thiss date from Planning Board suggesting
a change in Town of Groton Land Use and Development Code conceming
Multiple Dwelling Road Frontage. Planning Board_ suggests UO' frontage
rather than the 150' per dwelling unit as it row is. Consensus of Town
Board membear8 is that they agree but will not schedule -heaxing to amend
Local. Lai,{ right away, but rathe.7r wait to see if there are any other
changes to be considered,

Attorney Fitzgerald reported that tho Judge in the Anderson junkyard
rasp, adjourned to see if it stays clean, Supervisor Robinson heard
there wa.s junk there agaa.n. Attorney Fitzgerald said to have Zoning
0f'ficer take pictures.

RESOLVED, that the To'em Board dogs hereby authorize the Carle
Ernforcemwent O#'f'icar and Town Attorney to take :neceseaary legal
action against George Tillotson and Dennis Wood for violation
of the Town of Groton zoning 'regulations.
Board members discussed purchase of Tichenor's Gravel Pit at length,
Briefly, feelings of individual board FLembers are;
Graham - too much money fox that property, We should look foar alternatives.
CLbrmings - too much money, Sell. to individual and keep on tax roll and
Town buy gravel from them. Doesn't 'f,ant Town of Dryden to get tax exempt.
VanBene�cho'ten - too Much money. Doesn't like the hanky} panky of. one
px~ice last year and another Price this year -- can't accept that,
Sov0000l - doesn't like the pn.ce.
Robinson - Not happy with price. Should make purchase offer, Doesn't
'think we can afford to let this go. �li.11 get building with bank and
roughly at least a 20 yea.,r, guarantee of gravel for Town needs.
