Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten to set Totem Board Meeting night for the second
Tuesday of the month at 7 :30 P.M. to be held, at the Town Hall. Seconded

Moved by Mr. VanB Mschoten, seconded by Mr. Sovocool, to retain the services
of Fitzgerald, Taylor & Pomeroy as Attorneys for the Town per contract.

Moved by Mr. Cummings, seconded by Mr. Sovocool, to set the hourly
rate of the Custodian at $3.50 per hour and. the Deputy Town Clerk at $4.85

Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by Pir. Sovocool, that the ToT.m become a
member of the Groton Business Association at a fee of $25.00 for 1984 as a
Municipal Organization. Supervisor. Robinson will be the representative and/or
contact person. Ayes - Sovocool, Graham, Cummings, VanBenschoten, Robinson.
Highway Superintendent, Leland Cornelius, would. like board approval to let
bids for a 1984 pickup. His current pickup is four years old. and has
80,000 miles. Moved. by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by IkL . Graham, to
authorize Mr. Cornelius to prepare specifications and advertize for bids
for a 1984 pickup with bid opening February 14, 1984, at 8:00 P.M. Ayes -
Sovocool, Grahaxt, Cummings, VanBenschoten, Robinson.
Mr. Cornelius also had information on a digger that he would like to purchase
at a latex date.
There being no further business, Supervisor Robinson moved to adjourn meeting,
seconded by Mr. Sovocool, at 9:15 P.M. Unanimous.

Attorney Fitzgerald has not received a reply from the State Comptroller
regarding Local Law No. 1 - 1966- "Martial Tax Exemption of Real Property"
and subsequent resolutions relating to same.
RESOLUTION NO. 5 - APPROVAL OF 1984 FIRE AND AMBULANCE CONTRACTS

RESOLVED, that the Town of Groton approves 1984 Contracts with the
Groton Fire Department in the amount of $22,700.00 and the Groton
Ambulance in the amount of $25,000.00.
Leland Cornelius, Highway Superintendent, would like to purchase a used
excavator for the Town. Our 1959 Gradall is in need of repairs that could
be costly.

intendent, to let bids for a used Hydraulic Excavator with bid opening set
