Tabled appoiating anyo=ne to County You't'h Board, IbIx. Don Palcnear has decided
not to serve but will try to locate someone that is interested,
Attorney Jack Fitzgerald will look into procedures necessiar'y for the new
provisions for Senior Citizens Txemption.
Discussed appointments to Appeals Board,. We ~teed 'two members. Tabled making
any appointments,

Board, discussed with Town Attorney Jepson's request to meld �L tx'ailex to his
house. Attorney advised that he would harve to comply with trailer ordYnance
with required gquaxe footage, permanent foundatiork, etc. Supervisor will
check into building and fire code requirements.
Disc�xs8ed Peruville Community Hall Association building in Pex'uville, Some
residents of Peruville wanted 'to use lumber from building since it was fa.11ing
down. Other residents don't approve since remainder: of building would be left
and could be dangerous and would not look the best. Town Clerk and County Clerk
searched. records for deed 'to establish the owner. 1-10 deed was .located. Town
will have Building Inspector inspect building and make written report to the
Town Board if 'there is a clear and present danger 2�ela.ting to our Local
Unsafe Building Code. '
Some discr�js>sion was. held ae to whether the Toi, *n Tax 0013.ecto -' should send, tax
receipts out, It would save the Town several dollars if they ;d,idn't. Several
ToLgns in the axea do not mail receipts unless 22equested„

Discussed some zoning problems. Clerk noticed additional junk in Andersons
driveway and also a truck load going in at 3;30 P.M. on December 8. Highway
Superintendent will. check to see if it is new or old junk just being moved
around..
Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr: VanBenschoten, to hold a Special
Town Board Meeting on Thursday, December 29, 1983, at 9:00 A.M. to close
out year -end business and perform annual accounting of all Town records.

:Hoard reviewed letter from Planning Board regarding proposed changes in
Zoning Code. Moved by IoL". VanBenschoten, seconded by Mr. Carey, to
approve changes and to table until such time as other changes in the
Zoning law have been fin,�J.ized and presented to the board. Ayes

MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOWN BOARD ?MEETING HELD THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29, 19839
AT 9:00 A.M.
Those present: Teresa M. Robinson, Supervisor
Ell.ard L. Sovocool, Councilman
Gordon C. VanBenschoten, Councilman
Francis P. Carey, Councilman
Absent: Verl Rankin, Jr., Councilman
Jack Fitzgerald, Attorney
Also present: Leland Cornelius, Donald. Gri;l:'fen, Carl Haynes
Purpose of meeting was to close out year -end business and perform annual
accounting of all town records.
Mayor Griffen and Mr. Haynes were present to present new Groton brochure as
compiled by the Citizens Committee for the conomic Development of Groton.
Brochure will be ready for distribution in two or three weeks. The expenses
incurred for the brochure totaled approximately $4000. The Village and
Citizens Committee asked the Town to contribute $1000 towards brochure.
Mayor Griffen also informed board of status of negotiations with SCH.
