It would be cost saving to the Town in that copies can be made onto a variety of paper stock, both front and back, and it produces high quality copies. Pierson Town Clerk MINUTES OF TOWN BOARD MEETING HELD MONDAY, JULY 119 1983 AT 7:30 ]?.M. Those present: Teresa M. Robinson, Supervisor Verl Rankin, Jr., Councilman Francis P. Carey, Councilman Gordon C. VanBenschoten, Councilman Jack Fitzgerald, Attorney for Town Absent: Ellard L. Sovocool, Councilman Also present: Leland Cornelius, George Totman, Robert Brown, Gary Evans, Michael post, Nancy Ostrander I1r. Rankin moved that the minutes of June 13 meeting be approved as mailed. Seconded by Mr. VanBenschoten, Ayes - Rankin, VanBenschoten, Carey, Robinson. Claim Nos. 188 tO 209 of the High Department in the amount of $4,780.00 and Claim Nos. 191 to 213 of the General Fund in the amount of $1,268.52 were presented for audit. Mr. Rankin moved that the bills be paid, and the clerk instructed to draw warrant for them. Seconded by Mr. Carey. Ayes - Rankin, VanBenschoten, Carey, Robinson. Monthly reports from Town Clerk, Town Justice and Zoning Officer were reviewed. Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Permit for `timothy Little of pleasant Valley Road was approved by Appeals Board. However, this permit is not valid at his current location on West Groton Road, Zoning Officer also reported that Dennis food's temporary permit for trailer has expired and he also has two unregistered, vehicles on his property. Attorney Fitzgerald will advise Supervisor as to what action Board should take regarding Mr. Mood's expired permit. Letter of resignation was received from George C. Bushnell. Due to working the second shift, it is impossible for him to attend Board of Appeals meetings. Meeting was recessed at 8:00 P.M. for :I ?ublic Hearing on "Town of Groton Land Use and Development Code ". Meeting reconvened. at 8416 P.M. No action was taken to adopt Local Law No. 1, "Town of Groton :band Use and Development Code" since graphics and a couple minor changes have to be made prior to submitting. Highway Superintendent, Leland Cornelius, would like to purchase a wood chipper. He questioned whether the Town and Village Electric could jointly buy chipper? Attorney Fitzgerald will check into and advise board. Discussed purchasing copy machine. 1oir. VanBenschoten moved to advertize fox bids with 'trade in stipulated., to be let August 8 at 8:00 Pe M, Clerk and Attorney will prepare bid notice and specs. Seconded by 1'Ir. Rankin. Ayes - Rankin, VanBenschoten, Carey, Robinson. Board discussed establishing a joint youth commission with the Village. Funding same was also discussed. RESOLUTION CEO. 17 ESTABLISH JOINT YOUTH COMMISSION; WITH VILLAGE Moved by Mr. Rankin, seconded by htr. Mr. Anderson wanted. the ToTem to allow him time to remove everything except trailers and contents and house. Town remained_ firm that evrxything will be xemoved. Hopefully, Anderson will give easement tto Town to remove junk, Board discussed zoning violations with Laning Officex and Attorney. Attorney wrote letters to all violators listed on Zoning Officers May report giving them a date to comply by, Mr. Brown will go out to check to see if those on list axe still in violation and get back to Attorney to schedule court action, Board reviewed Town Map to correct road names questioned b the County Planning Board and also to review roacb'tha.t should be-legally abaindcned by the Torm, Supexvisoar will check with County for recommendations on road naines.
