Moved by Mr. Rankin, seconded by Mr. Carey to schedule public hearing on
M.Y.S. Fire Prevention Code for December 28, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. at the
Town Hall. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin, VanBenschoten, Carey, Robinson.
Moved by AIr. Rankin, seconded by Mr. Sovocool to hold a special Town Board
meeting to consider adopting Fire Code and to perform annual accounting of
all town records on December 28, 1981 at 7:45 P.M. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin,
VanBenschoten, Carey, Robinson.
There being no further business, Mr. Rankin moved to adjourn meeting,
seconded. by Mr. Sovobool at 9:30 P.Me

RESOLUTION N0. 21 - ADOPT STATE FIRE PREVaTTION CODE
Moved by Mr. Carey, seconded by lair. Sovocool
Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Rankin, Carey, Robinson
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Groton hereby accepts the
applicability of the State Fire Prevention Code for the Town of Groton
to become effective in said Town of Groton on the 1st day of January 1982,
in accordance with the provisions of Section 393 of the Executive Law,
and it is
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be, and hereby is, instructed to
file a certified copy of this resolution in the principal office of
the State Building Code Council, Division of Housing and Community
Renewal, at Two World Trade Center, New York, New York 10047, and in
the office of the Secretary of State at Albany, New York,
Claim Nos. 356 to 362 of the Highway Fund and #372 to #386 of the General
Fund were presented for audit. Mr. VariBenschoten moved that the 'bills be
paid and the Clerk instructed to draw warrant for them. Seconded. by
Mr. Carey. Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Rankin, Carey, Robinson.

BUDGET TRANSFERS

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be authorized to make necessary budget
transfers.

RESOLVED, that since Federal Revenue Sharing funds allocated for signs
have been expended, that remaining bills for 1981 signs be paid out

REIMIUES TOWARDS ROGER BECK'S BILL

RESOLVE]), that Part Town Excess 1981 Revenues 'be applied towards
Roger Beck's 'bill for McLean Flood repair work.

MINUTES OF TOINT4 BOARD MEETING HELD JANUARY 110 1982 AT 7:30 P. M.
Those present: Teresa M. Robinson, Supervisor

Moved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded. by Mr. Carey, that the minutes of December
14 and 28 be approved as mailed. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin, VanBenschoten,
Carey, Robinson.
Stan Shockey has inquired about haviig.a street light in Peruvil.le going up
Pleasant Valley Road.. Procedure would be for him to present signed partition
to Board.
Claim Nos. 1 to 15 of the Highway Fund and #1 to #14 of the General Fund
were presented for audit. Mr. Carey moved that the bills be paid and
charged against proper year and the clerk instructed to draw warrant for
them. Seconded by Mr. VanBenschoten. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin, VanBenschoten,
Carey, Robinson.
Monthly reports from the Town Clerk and Zoning Officer were reviewed. Zoning
Officer issued two building permits. He also noted in his report that
Charles Volbrecht has not applied for a Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Permit
after having been notified to do so several times. Also, John Anderson has
been operating a junkyard without a license for some time.
