request to attend Highway Superintendents School at Cornell on June 7 - 10.

Leland Cornelius reported on Mr.Lea.n speed limit signs that are being erected.
It zs difficult to keep them up since motorists axe constantly running them
down. Supervisor Robinson stated it i.s the Board's responsibility to keep
them up.

Mr. Gamey moved that the minutes of .dune 8 be appro'jed as mail led. Seconded
by Xr. Sovocool. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin, Carey, Robinson,
Claim Nos. 178 to #Z02 of the Highway Deparrtment and #163 to ffL182 of the
Genex'al Rand were presented for audit, Mr. Rankin moved that the bills be
paid and the Clerk instructed to draw warrant for them. SeccndiO. by I'r.

Moved by Mr, Carey, seconded by Mr. Rankin, to designate West Groton Church,
McLean Fire Station and the Town Hall as polling pla,cei� for 1981, and also
that Election Districts ffl, ? and 3 be combined fox Registration Day (Oct, 10)
at the Town Mall with District #4 being at the McLean Fixe Station. Ayes y

Consensus was that our gravel batik is not that strong and we mould not want
to deple't'e our supply. An altervative source of gravel would be bank between
Town and Village Buildings, Moved by Mr. Rankin, seconded by Mr. SOVaC001
that the Town cannot let gravel from our mine to out to anyone. Bowe ;ter,
Highway Department will help draw gravel from batik 'behind Town and Village

Roof Repair with bid opening to be held at a Special. Town Board Meeting on
July 28, 1981 at 8:00 P.M. at the Town Hall. Ayes - Sovocool, Rankin, Carey,
Robinson.
Supervisor Robinson reported on meeting with $PGA. She is in favor of
receiving $`1.00 per enumerated dog inn read of the 755 that the SPCA purposed,
to reimburse each Town per dog enumerated. The board agreed reimbursement
should be $1.00. MO -vsd by Mr. Rankin, second�d by Idr, Casey, that the Town
of Groton withhold payment of 1981 Dog Contract r�or�ies until the 1980
enumeration has been completed.
Supervisor Robinson ;':ported she has ordered three microfilm storage cabinsts
at $22.00 per each. She also requested boards appx'oval to purchare an air
conditioner for 'the .ToL,n Mall which met with some opposition, After softie
