request to attend Supervisor's and County Legisa.ator's Association 'meeting in
Niagara Falls on June 29 - .July 2. Unanimous
Local Grievance Day is Thursday, June 12 from 1 :00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Town
Hall. Teresa will work from 1 - 8, Gordon from 1 - 3, Frank from 3 - 5,
Lewie from'5 - 8, in addition -o Frank Satterly and County Assessment
Department• personnel.
Retirement party will be held for George Anderson and-Richard French on
.June 14 at 6:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. Reservations should be in. by
June 6 if possible.
Abandoned property complaints were discussed. The old school house on the
corner of Old. Stage Road and Lick Street is a hazard. Zoning Officer will
write letter -to owner,
Election Officials for the Special Election on Games of Chance to be held
Wednesday, June 18 from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Town Hall are Chaxlotte
Rankin, Francis O'Shea, Ruth Bell and Helen Graham.
Moved. by Air. Rankin, seconded by Air. VanBenschoten, to have local fee of
$2.50 pre- printed on dog license renewals for this fall. Unanimous.
Some discussion was held on DOT project which is the Salt Road.

Purpose of meeting was to take action on bids received for a 1980 tandem
axle dump• truck -snow plow combination.

Mr. Cornelius discussed purchasing a tractor with 3 -point hitch and mower to
I treplace old tractor. Board approved looking into prices and trade in value.
Supervisor Robinson stated Gerald Burdick is retireing. Leland Cornelius is
not going to fill position until fall since he has Chris Dempsey working this
summer.
Discussed Town's Youth Program for which $2800 was budgeted for personnel
services. Mike Conners did an excellent ,job last summer and, board, felt we
should continue with program. Ploved by Mr. Sovocool, seconded by Mr. Rankin
to appoint Mike Conners to head Youth P�ro ram__agaa.n this summer. Ayes -
Sovocool, Carey, Rankin, VanBenschoten, Robinson.
:Leland Cornelius spoke on County Meeting that he and Teresa attended on June 5
regarding bond money. Money must be used to build. roads, bridges, etc. and
that projects must last for a ten year period with minimal maintenance. Roads
considered are Town Line, kick Street and Elm St, ixt, for an approximate cost
of $47,000. Applications must be filed, by October 1 and Bill Mobbs of the
County will approve or disapprove.
There being no further business, Mr. Rankin moved to adjourn meeting, seconded

MUTUTES OF TO141 BOARD MEETING HELD MONDAY, JULY 7, 1980 AT 7:30 P.M.

Mr. VanBenschoten moved that the minutes of June 2 and 10 be approved as
written, seconded by Mr. Sovocool. Ayes - Sovocool, Carey, VanBenschoten,
Rankin, Robinson.
Claims Y#156 to, #181 of the Highway Dept. and. #159 to /#173 of the General Fund
were presented for audit. Mr. Rankin moved that the bills be paid and the Clerk
instructed to draw warrant for them. Seconded by Mr. Carey. Ayes - Sovocool,
Carey, VanBenschoten, Rankin, Robinson.
® Monthly reports from the Town Clerk Zoning Officer and Toifn Justice were
reviewed by the board.
Supervisor Robinson read a letter written from the Village of Groton Housing
Authority Board to the Community Health Care Center. Mr. Carey informed the
Board of the medical services provided by the Health Care Center. Dr. Guiliano
will be on contract as physician. They are still negotiating as to whether there
will be one or two physicians assistants who will be coming from Cortland.
Dr. Kring will continue on.
Supervisor Robinson read a letter from Marie Bancroft, Assistant Coordinator
of the Gadabout bus service asking the Town Board to consider Gadabout in the
1980 and 1981 budgets. Request was tabled pending states reimbursements,
The `lawn Board agreed the Census Report needed to be deciphered by someone on
the County Planning Board.
