Discussed correspondence received from Cerrache. TV regarding line extension
requests. There zs no problem with Elm Street line extension. Supervisor
Robinson received a letter and blank promissory notes for the McLean- Coxtland
Road residents to sign. Town At.tox'ney Ben Bucko Found these dotes lack: rLng
pertinent cost information and advised. the Board not to comply tintil we receive
adequate information fox customers. Boa.Td members expressed their dissatisfaction
with Cerrache TV in a prolonged delay in extending service to area residents,
A Board member stated that the next time Cerrache wants a 50 omit -tri.ei8ase we

Discussed abondoned IVRR property. The Planning Board is exploring possible
uses of this property and will present: to Town Board, The Town Board will have
to make a final decision on purchase within two months,
A special Youth Board, was appointed to distribute bands for drugs, alcohol a�td
sex education programs to be held in 1979. `1000 was allocated fox this program
with 50% matching fund; returned by the State. A supplemental Youth linter
Recreation program was also approved with Funds ($355.00) coming fx7cm the State,

RESOLVED, that the fol.lwoing individuals to be appointed, to handle funds
for Drug, Alcohol & Sex Education Programs in 1979. Glenn Munson, Jr.,
Donald Cargian, Rev. Robert Bishop, Karen Voorhees & Zana Kane.
Supervisor Robinson read two letters regarding.new safety regulations for open
mines. A letter from Congressman Gary Lee indicated he is co- sponsoring a
bill to exempt stone, gravel and sand pits with fewer than 35 employees from
the safety standards. A second l.ettex from Compagne Construction of Cortland
gave support to the Board's position.

RESOLVED, that tax monies in the amotm t of $15,700 for the Groton Fire
Department and $14,569.04 for the McLean Fire Department be disbursed
to respective Fire Departments,

RESOLVED, that tax monies in the amount of $100004 be disbursed
to the Groton Ambulance,
Discussed Dog Contract. Lauren Marion of the Board of Representatives spoke
with Supervisor Robinson and wants us to consider contract by April. IMr.
Satterly indicated that someone has to make a move in order for the SPCA to
demonstrate they can do something, which they can't do if they don't have
contracts from municipalities. Supervisor Robinson indicated that Municipal.
Association is having meetings on dogs and getting down to basics and will
be ready to present proposals in a couple of months. Some discussion was
held regarding whether contract would include Village. Supervisor Robinson
stated that Bill Brothers will come up and give us some figures at a special
meeting to take care of dog control problems.
Supervisor Robinson informed the Board -that she had. requested an extension
of time for the collection of taxes in the Town of Groton.
County Representative Frank Satterly in:t'ormed board of an EMC meeting covering
Solid Waste to be held at the Extension Office at 8:00 P. M. Tuesday night. He
also informed the Board that Gad -A Bout bus will be in operation in Groton very
shortly and a representative from the.Office of the Aging will be out to meet
with Town & Village representatives. Mr. Satterly indicated Congressman McHugh
has received many inquiries regarding gravel safety standards and there might
possibly be an amendment in requirements. 1%r. Satterly asked about letter
regarding McLean Flooding. Supervisor Robinson said no letter had been sent
yet. Mr. Walpole felt letter should be sent informing the County of happenings.
Board recessed for executive session at 8:25 P.M. •
Board meeting ,reconvened at 8:35 P. 1M.
Supervisor Robinson stated business discussed in executive session was an
accident we had and it was turned over to the insurance company.
There being no further business, Mr. Rankin moved to adjourn meeting, seconded
by Mr. Sovocool, at 8:366 P.M.
