FURTHER RESOLVED, that account D115130.4 and DM5010.8 be amended to
record purchase of front end loader and transfer of funds to balance
accounts.
Supervisor Robinson indicated that Anti- Recession money was put in General
Fund to pay for utilities. Title was changed. from State and Federal Anti -
Recession to General Fund.
Supervisor Robinson also indicated that the $10,000 Certificate of Deposit
for the highway Fund now belongs to the General Fund.
Problems with the new truck were discussed. It has 600 miles on it and plow
wing caught in dirt and buckled beam. Also it had a noise in rear end which
is now being 'torn down to find the problem.

RESWTD, that the Town of Groton would participate in the
Supplemental Youth Development/Delinquency Program in the
amount of $355.56 reimbursed by the State with no matching
funds from the Town. These monies are not to supplement
existing programs.
Discussed advancing $200 for idew York Association of Town Meeting.
Consensus of the Board was to do as we have in the pest. No Advancements.

Mr. Walpole moved to accept minutes of precious meetings (12/4 & 12/28)

RESOLVED, that the Groton Journal and. Courier be designated as the
official. newspaper of the Town of Groton,

RESOLVED, that Benjamin J. Bucko be appointed. Town Attorney for the
Town of Groton,

RESOLVED, that Richard Frerich be appointed as Constable for the Town
of Groton. (Mr. James Allen will. be contacted to see if he wishes to
serve as Constable, if not 'the only other person that has indicated
an interest is Mr. Orma Sheeder. Appointment will be made Later.)

RESOLVED, that Robert Walpole be appointed Deputy Supervisor for the
Town of Groton.

RESOLVED, that Laura Haughn be appointed Deputy Town Clerk of the Toiim
of Groton. •

RESOLVED, that Robert Brown be appointed Zoning Officer for the Town of
Groton.

RESOLVED, that small tool expenditures of up to $500.00 by the Highway
Superintendent be authorized.. •

RESOLVED, that Harold (Slim) Cargill be appointed as Deputy Highway
Suuerintendent for the Town of Groton.

RESOLVED, that Henry Sincerbeaux be appointed as Toren Historian for the
Town of Groton.

Supervisor Robinson discussed setting up an Advisory Board for Youth Council..
It will be a five member board with one representative each coming from
McLean, West Groton, Groton City, Peruville and the '.Gown. Glenn Munson, Jr.
of McLean and Mrs. John Gaines or Doug Benson of West Groton were mentioned.
Motion was made by Mr. Walpole, seconded. by A1r. Rankin to set fees for Town
services as follows: (All Ayes)

Moved by Mr. Rankin, seconded by Mr. Sovocool, that Robert Walpole be appointed
Town Representative to attend meeting in Syracuse on January 5 along with Village
Representative Karl Stamm to investigate possible federal grants for the mutual
benefit of the Town and Village.
Supervisor Robinson indicated that $the County wanted two or more individuals
appointed to serve on the Assessment Review Board which training will be
available. Moved by Mr. Rankin, seconded 'by Mrs. Robinson, that Robert Walpole,
Teresa Robinson & Verl Rankin, Jr. be appointed to attend sessions when they are
schedu:l.ed .
No action was taken on the proposed SPCA Contract, The Board gave authorization
to Clerk to send second notice to dog owners who have not yet purchased licenses
and to run ad in Shopper.
The Town Directory has not yet been printed due to so many errors in house numbers
and names. The Zoning Officer and Dog Enumerator are working to correct these
errors and the Directory will be sent to press as soon as clerk receives corrections.
